Havant game./Tea Cup throwing

To me, a very important and tough game tomorrow-could be barometer of the season.

 

Lose and we sink into a relegation dogfight.

 

Win and we could start a steady climb to even a top 5 spot.(after last week thats all thats left)

 

Whilst i will not be there myself, i think those loyal supporters who go tomorrow deserve alot more than the absolutely dire performance served up last saturday.

 

Because of the ground issue, i think many of us kept our powder dry and feelings intact over last saturdays performance, but it was diabolical.

 

What i am not sure of is whether that is the true level of the players ability or whether the situation was just getting to them.You begin to think its the former and that a few are flattering to deceive.

 

I trust we will not plummet to those depths again.

 

Whilst i am not an advocate of shouting and hysteria to make one's point; i think CK would have been well justified in a bit of tea cup throwing after last saturday(although he picks the team and tactics and has equal responsibility).

 

Another performance like that ,and most of the players/club will be in the same league as Walton next season .

 

I also suspect that whilst missing the larger home crowds,the players are quite content to play at Ashford because of easier road access to London.

It has become too easy an excuse to blame 'the current situation'.

We all have adversity-the skill is to overcome it.

 

I think now they have an obligation to serve up to the loyal fans a much tastier fayre tomorrow and play their hearts out and go some way to rectifying last weeks abysmal effort.

 

It looks like Havant are under performing and i think this is a really tough game, but trust CK will produce tactics ,team selection and motivation of Churchillian proportions to atone for last week.

I liked CK's comment on the radio before the match. He said he had told the boys something along the lines of, we are getting our new stadium, wouldn't it be better to play the first match back at home in the Conferene.

Fairly motivational, I thought.
