Slough have scored 24 goals in their last 8 games. An average of 3 goals a game.

Slough have only conceded 7 goals in their last 8 games. An average of less than 1 goal conceded per game.

Slough have lost one home game all season.

Walsall have not won away from home all season.

 

Merson has indicated that if Walsall have the 'right attitude' then they will win as a matter of 'fact'. All of this points to a Walsall underestimation of slough. Even if Walsall do have the right 'attitude', for sure that does not guarantee a win for the visitors, the Slough manager may simply adopt shrewd tactics, and Slough may play better football, more attacking football, on top of that, it can be very odd for a professional team to travel to a Royal borough and play on a ground that seems more like the Queen's butler's front garden rather than a football stadium.

 

On top of all this, Walsall in general have a bad record in the South-East. Lets wait and see, but I think statistically, on current form, Slough must be the favourites.

Favourites???? What planet are you on??? Ok, so its a banana skin for us, but just go to any bookies to see who the favourites are. Despite Walsall's dodgy form, we have actually been playing some great football, and failing to get the ball in the net, so just be careful what you are saying cos' it will probably come back to bite you on the [****!!****]!!

I think although we stand a chance, we'll be fortunate to win. we are still outsiders against a team four leagues(?) above us....let's not get carried away.....especially with a new keeper the defence aren't familiar with.....

Well the bookies (who are experts ??) make us 5:1 against to win at the moment. Doesn't that translate as us winning about one game in 7 ? It just has to be THIS game
