Radio Berkshire Show

Apparently, they are having a dig because no Slough fans are calling them up about the FA Cup match this weekend. Little did they think to let us know they were expecting calls or anything like that.

Anyway, fancy airing your views this morning? Give them a call on 01189 48 49 49.

Is this the same Radio Berkshire that didn't cover the Salisbury tie in any way even though BBC Radio Wiltshire covered it live?

Maybe the lack of calls is more of a reflection on the listening audience of Radio Berkshire as opposed to the interest in the game by Slough fans.

You must have read my mind, Ian.

Maybe if Rebels fans (not attending the match) thought that Radio Berkshire was the first place to get the Slough result and match analysis they would be inclined to tune in on a Saturday afternoon.

(Same applies to Star FM)

That is the way to gain new audience - especially if they concentrate more on the local sides (whether league or non-) rather than just Premiership games.

I have to wait for Ceefax/Teletext/Fans Forum (<img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />) to report the result of any match I can't get to.

But if I knew that a local radio station would be reporting the Ryman Premier results at 17:00 on a Saturday, I would certainly tune in.

Well what do they expect - everytime you turn on their sports show it's Reading this, Reading that. Even when we did beat Salisbury, we were about fourth on their morning sports morning show - and that was just saying we were through. Gets a bit boring for the other supporters.

They could post something on teh forum, or let us know via email as I have been in touch with them lately regarding their Slough coverage...

No bugger listens to frigging Radio Berkshire because it is the Steve Coppell's nut-massaging station. It rarely admits that Slough is in Berkshire, let alone mentions the football club. Perhaps we would call up if it was such a narrow-agenda third rate local BBC service

my call didnt get on air as I was a 'bit' twitchy about all the sarcastic 'pops' they were having at us this morning

but my intelligent comment was 'that it wasnt through lack of numbers Slough fans weren't ringing in it was through lack of them listening to their sh*t radio station'
