Did anyone else see drury give up on the loose ball in the area the other night, when he could of knocked it in, he seems to be playing with his head down, lack of confidence, he apears to give up chasing the ball far to easy, i am a fan of his , when he has the ball and is running with it, he looks the bizz, but he has lost the will to fight for the ball to easy this year, this is my opinion, what are others thoughts on the subject

Very complex character is Andy Drury. When things are going well, such as against Carlisle, he's absolutely on fire. However when things aren't going well he either tries too hard (if I can beat three I must be able to beat four or five) or his head drops and he seems to lose interest in the game. He's a very talented footballer but obviously needs confidence to bring out the best in him. I imagine Andy Ford's player management skills get really tested.

Redbridge was a relatively pointless reserve fixture, OK for triallists, PASE boys and players coming back from injury etc. Playing him or any other first teamer in virtually 2 full matches in the last three days, and running the risk of more injuries was not sensible IMO. His last two performances against Hornchurch and Carlisle have been excellent so do we really want him knackering himself in games like the Redbridge match

A colleague at work said, grays fc had a popvic playing for them, ex portsmouth, is this the same guy?

Yes. Went to Hornchurch from Grays. Pretty sure he must be the same guy who trialled at Portsmouth (see my post above) & Reading in the summer, despite his name obviously being quite common amongst people in Serbia, Montenegro & Croatia, as any casual trawl of Google will reveal.

RK says Andy is due to complete loan signings of 2 strikers today to cover for injured regular forwards for Saturday

More from Andy here.

So, are we to infer from Andy's RK interview that Roy and Manny are the injured players?
