I'm helping with distributing the cards and will let people know on here asap, where they can pick them up from before the game to help us distribute. We will also need people to collect them up at half time.

For maximum impact we've also got to decide which goal we all want to stand behind - and if anyone can do a banner - just a 'we want to go home' type slogan on a white sheet or something that would really be helpful

Didn't have to pay? I hope somebody else paid for you then as you shouldn't be getting any freebies out of this. I understand Tony Gubba is going to be the reporter for the match. Motty will no doubt be covering on of the Premiership matches. Besides, I wouldn't have thought he'd be welcome on Barry Davies' patch

I have emailed Ian a big list of local and national email contacts, from which he is sending a press release letting them know what we are doing, so hopefully we should get some coverage from that as well...

Erm no, what with pitch invasion being a criminal offence.

What we have planned is simple, legal and hopefully will quickly catch on.

The following Press Release on behalf of the Slough Town Supporters Trust has been sent out this evening.

PRESS RELEASE ON BEHALF OF THE SLOUGH TOWN SUPPORTERS TRUST

The FA Cup 1st Round tie between Slough Town and Walsall will take place at Stag Meadow, the home of Windsor & Eton Football Club, with whom Slough Town have been ground sharing since 2003. The Rebels are unable to play at their previous home at Wexham Park and supporters have lobbied Slough Borough Council for several years to source a suitable piece of land in Slough to enable the Club to return to play in the town it proudly represents.

Ten minutes before the kick-off against Walsall on Saturday, the Slough Town Supporters Trust have organised for all fans to hold up Red Card’s to protest at the total lack of support given by their local Council to the football club. It is hoped that this demonstration of support for the club by up to two thousand fans will convince the council to accept it’s obligations to secure a suitable site enabling Slough Town Football Club to return to a ground it can own outright, in Slough where it belongs.

Please provide whatever coverage of this protest you are able.

People will be naturally distracted when the game starts and when the players come out we want everyone to be giving them their full support. Ten minutes before kick-off, 99% of people should be in the ground and in position so it was considered the most appropriate time.
