I'd imagine it would be similar to that, although it Mets is fit he may well start in place of Seedel. I personally would think that would be too defensive and favour Seedel and Hodges to play upfront. Hodgey is awesome in the air and will cause them no end of problems while Seedel performances in recent matches means he deserves a place in the team.

You've got to have Matty Miller on the bench though Marcus. I think we'd all love it if he came off the bench and scored the winner - it could be fate as he is long long long long long overdue a first team goal

I though veli was out for at least three months. I suspect Wilco will be assigned to do a number on Merson so we will need another defensive midfielder to play in front of the back 5. That makes it a toss up between Seedel and Spencer for the second attacking position. Either Hodges leading the line with Spencer in the hole or Seedel leading the line with Hodges in the hole.

It will be interesting to see who plays tommorow (wednesday) in the "havin a laff" league

I would pick exactly the same team Marcus.

One change on the bench no Veli due to injury so he is replaced with Matty Miller.

I think Eddie will pick both Wilko and Mets if fit which would mean no place for Spencer or Seedel.

Yeah have heard, i was goign on some dodgy info i got given that Veli was semi-fit and might be ok.... Personally i think over the last month or so Spencer has warranted to start before Metcalfe (Ryan has semi-won me over, cos i was never a Spencer fan when we had him before- and Mets who i really like has not really done much since the dover game!

I would be very surprised if Metcalfe didn't play if fit. However, I personally would go with the 11 you picked as I believe it is one of those games that we might as well put a little more attacking emphasis in. If Mets does start I would expect Spencer to get the nod ahead of Seedel if only because of what Eddie has done over previous weeks. This should be no reflection on Matty S whose form has been outstanding since the start of October.

By the way, as Walsall are going to be having the left hand side of the ground will those that usually do anyway be able to trek round at half time or will the halfs either side of the players "walkway" be segregated? Which would be difficult as people would just nip behind the bar anyway? And if Spencer doesnt start you are not allowed to a) Cry B) shout abuse at Eddie or C) Keep talking loudly about subs <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Agreed, I can't imagine Eddie would change the team to make it any more defensive-minded just because a league team are in town - it would just disrupt things. I'd imagine the usual suspects as above, with Spencer or Seedel fighting it out for the number 10.

I have far more confidence in our ability to score goals than our ability to stop other teams scoring. We've seen on several occasions this season that when we sit back we concede (Tonbridge, Folkestone, Hampton, Salisbury) so I'd be far happier to give it a go and try and attack them.

After all, we're more likely to beat them at home than in a replay so we have to take our chance at fortress Stag Meadow and we'll only do that by attacking them.
