Abingdon Town

Recommended Posts

I've just seen a story that Keith O'Neill of Coventry City is going to sponsor Abingdon Town in Ryman 2. He will have his name on the shirt and provide a trophy for the manager's player of the year!

Apparently, his cousin lives in Abingdon and he has a few friends living there too.

Just as a bit of fun, which local celebrities do we have who could have their names on the fleet shirts?!! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />

There's Cheryl Baker. We could have shorts in the style of Bucks Fizz circa 1981, where you can whip them off with a mere flourish of your wrist - sure to please those fans of Francis Duku.

And isn't Bobby Davro from Gravesend? Admittedly, that would be the most poor-quality sponsor since Mister Ham Man but you're guaranteed advertising at pantomimes the length and breadth of Kent.

Stretching a point I know, how about

Joe Pasquale - Higham

Karl Howman (Jacko in Brush Strokes) - Luddesdowne

Jack 'Artful Dodger' Wild - Gravesend

Roger Moore - Shorne Ridgeway

On an entirely separate thread I see that 'Chicory Tip' regularly play at The Plough in Trottiscliffe!
