Nice pubs...

Gents, me and Mrs coming down for the Walsall game, any suggestions on a nice place to have a pint and a pre match meal?

If we play like we did 1st half at Hull theres every chance you will do us, we were shocking. Played better in the 2nd half though, and nearly made a game of it - if only we had a striker!! We can pass the ball all day long, but if you dont score, you aint going to win many!!

Anyway, enjoy the game next week, and any advice would be appreciated.

I know the stag and Hounds (1 min walk from the ground) are doing a tent and doing some food but others must have more info.

well there's plenty in Windsor town centre which is only a twenty minute walk from the ground

If you want to make a day of it and wander by the castle and river, there's loads of places to eat -although some can be a bit pricey.

The Stag and Hounds will be heaving before the game as it is the pub nearest the ground. I'd suggest taking the Mrs somewhere nearer the town centre for a meal before the match

The Stag and hounds have hired a Marquee for the match and will be laying on a burger bar, or will provide food themselves (yet to be decided). Bill (the landlord) has allowed us to sell tickets there and is doing all he can to support us. It would be nice if fans could repay that support by using the pub before or after the match.

Club house shut for 15 mins to half an hour after the game. So perhaps go there?

Due to numbers restrictions, I know the club house will not be open to the general public after the match. I think it is being kept for the Press, players and guests of the players

Quite right BFR, and numbers before the match will be strictly limited. Plastic glasses (oxymoron?) only. Stewards on duty to ensure no drink goes out to the ground and to limit numbers to 150 (??) . If possible people should leave once thay have had a drink to make room for new arrivals.
