Just a thought, Ian.

On the off-chance that the game has not sold-out by Wednesday evening, would it make sense to provide an extra outlet for sales on Friday somewhere? This could be highlighted in the Observer/Express (who are going(/supposed) to be making a big thing of the match anyway).

Please excuse me for being pessimistic about ticket sales, but I am thinking of the infrequent or former Rebels fans who might be unaware that such a big match is taking place, until they see coverage in Friday's local papers. (eg They may have been out of the country.) I am sure that in their place I would be most frustrated to find that I could not buy tickets for the game.

Tickets weren't advertised as being on sale on Thursday and Friday just in case they sold out by Wednesday and people ended up disappointed if they had planned to get them later in the week. I think it was always envisaged that tickets would be sold on Thursday and Friday from the same outlets. There may also be some additional coverage later in the week if there are tickets remaining.

Yep i'm sure Mr Chappell will put in another bit in the Observer if we still need to sell them. Also on thisisslough.com there's been a pop-up advert advertising ticket sales on the frontpage and also a sticky on the forum, so hopefully that's helped in some way!

Wonder if either team will sell their full allocation? Have heard on the grapevine Walsall have only sold 400 of theirs so far. Three evenings of sales to get through 900 tickets? Tall task I feel.

Have all the local elected councillors been sent a complimentary ticket?

If you chaps have any spare tickets for Saturday can you send them to Bescot or flog them in the Legoland car park. I have had to ask my mate's dad to turn up at 'orrible o'clock on Thursday to get mine. Congrats on getting this far. Should be a good game.

Bearing in mind all the hard work by various people, selling at 4 separate locations, I think it would be an awful shame if we didn't sell all 2,000 tickets. I know there are 2,000 Slough supporters out there, whether their last game was one year ago or twenty. We really need this to boost the campaign for a new home.

I think we've sold out all our tickets today.

If you haven't sold all your allocation by tomorrow and you need the cash I suggest you post a clear thread on our two main messageboards tomorrow night.

Get anybody interested to e-mail you so you know they're serious and ask them to meet you before the game on Saturday. I know a few people who haven't been able to get tickets but want to go.

I will now use a completely unappropriate smiley as I don't wan't to waste the opportunity as we only have a choice of about 5.
