Keeper Phil Smith has been released from his contract at Dover by mutual consent and is apparently talking to Gravesend and Margate.

 

Hes a very decent keeper still only 22, but we couldn't afford to keep him on as he was one of the highest paid members of the squad, and was sitting on the bench with Paul Hyde being our first choice.

 

He was released from Millwall last summer having made a handful of appearances for their first team.
