And Rocky has got 6 league goals which is not too bad.

Agree that Rocky could be doing better, BUT both he and Che asre getting minimal service, and you can't expect Rocky to both make and score the goals which is efectively what he is being asked to do.

Lets get a quality midfield player and then see what he can do.

The service Rocky has received has been awful lately. He needs the ball to be played to his feet instead of these long balls over the top all the time.

As for the ManChe he's having a great season.

I gather you didn't see his footwork skills yesterday then? Equally as bad as his ariel skills. I am not saying he hasn't the skills its just that lately he hasn't been showing them or giving his best. (forget about the service as che gets the same service but does at least put in the endeavour). Sometime back I was saying the same about che but he turned it round and I hope Rocky snaps out of this soon too..but for now, no matter how much he's liked he just isn't showing anything.

I was not a great fan of Che last season but I admit he has won me over with his work rate and commitment, I am now one of his biggest fans, and I am glad he has turned into a mean goal machine. The other thing I like about him is that he is a good clean sporting player.

But he had a period when he could not find the net for love nor money and we had a winge about him on a regular basis.

I think it is the same for Rocky, he is having a bit of a purple patch at the moment, but I know his ability so travel in hope of seeing him find the goal again. He has already reached the tally of our top goal scorer last season, and I think there's more to come. Remember also that it is sometimes his well placed passes that make it possible for others to hit the target. I wish the supporters would get behind him a bit more and not be so down on him, it cannot do too much for his motivation to be the brunt of the kind of comments I hear from the terraces.

Perhaps we as supporters could be a tad more supportive?

[color:"blue"] Have to agree with you MargateFan on both accounts - Che was just not up to it last season & I did wonder how he managed to be a top scorer for any team. This year he looks so different and by being amongst the goals his confidence shines in his game.

Rocky does so much in the game that seems to go un-noticed, but the 'fans' pick on the negative that happens and berate him. A lot of this appears to be on the back of wage he's alleged to receive so perhaps envy is their motive. He's not playing to his best at the moment, but I'd rather have him in the team than playing against us. Perhaps if these 'fans' were to get behind him (rather like a group did with Che last season) his confidence would come back & we'd have two on form strikers to scare the sh!! out of the opposition!

I would say three top strikers, PeterW, no-one has yet commented on how well Darren Watson is playing at the moment and how influential he has been in turning games when substituted on to the pitch.

Last season he looked lazy in his running and never won anything on his head, although his sureness in the strike and hunger on goal already impressed. This season what a difference! His headers have been precise and powerful, he has shown a turn of speed that is amazing for a man of his size. Defenders just do not know how to deal with him and when they try he just ignores them and carries on regardless.

I was pretty disappointed on Saturday but thought it was money and time well spent just to see him. Our own secret weapon that one.

Well, Che is the MANCHE, so i think its all in the name really, unless we call him GodChe.... as for Rocky, i still think he's quality, and it is still very difficult to be critical of any player who has remained loyal to the club during a very difficult period.

If you remember last season Che played a bit part, fans did moan about him, some said he was a waste of space, now he is a hero because he is scoring, what I am saying is its not just up to the two up front to score the goals, midfield is were the game is won or lost.

[color:"blue"]I'd rather not get carried away with Darren at the moment. I think he's done well as a 'super-sub' against WSM + W&H, but I'd like to see him play a full 90 minutes (which he's never done for us) and see his effect on the game then. I wouldn't actually say he played that well against WSM. He was on for 45 minutes but only shone in the last 10 minutes - before that he was still playing to a mixed reception.

Personally i think he is quality and wil get better and better.

If Akpo can make the grade, Watson certainly can.

I know 3 were in one game ,but don't forget that despite his limited appaearances last season, he got 6 league goals i think

He changes the way we play. He has a touch of class when on the ball and yes,it is a shame we cant get him on for a full ninety minutes. But then again perhaps he may not be so affective if that were to happen. But lately, when he has come on things changed on the field for the better with almost immediate impact. If he could maintain that form he is showing in a short time on the field for a full 90 minutes he would be a major asset. In my eyes he already is anyway.

It's what we told you when you signed him Peter. The Conference was a level too far for him. Now that he has dropped down to the level where he scored all his goals for us you should see the best of him.

Didnt think he was two bad last season he really did work his socks off, he was guilty of some awful finishing at times but still he always gave a 100%.

It really did get on my nerves last season when people were giveing him abuse i could of understood it if he was a lazy git but all he ever done was cuase problems for opposing defences.

Mind u i am a CheFanBoy! so i am gonna be some what one sided on how i think he played last season.

I think that Che began to find his form in the latter part of last season, particularly when he was partnered by Rocky, who was sliding him some great passes.

When I saw him again pre-season it was obvious that he had put a lot of work in on his fitness, as he looked and played in great shape from the start.

I disagree that he is not Conference standard, the problem last season was more a confidence issue rather than an ability one. Now he is finding the net again he can only grow as a striker.

As for singling people out for particular abuse when things are not going well with the team, I have said it before on other posts that we as supporters should concentrate on support - I have never held with trying to knock any member of our team down.

Nothing one-sided in supporting your favourite player, G4TW - shows what a good supporter you are.

Libellous and vicious knocking no.

Constructive critism yes.

The players/mananger do(i hope) take a wage, and thus in their chosen part-time profession must accept that they will come in for criticism at times and be heroes on other occasions.
