Gutted, they now have pretty much our whole defense and keeper, i know the players need jobs, money etc....but GRAYS. That hurts........

(not having a go at, NutNut, Westy, Mathers, Stuey. just the situation)

 

If the new money man at Grays had waited a week or so, he could have had Hornchruch)

have you noticed we haven't had one grays fan on here slagging us off,think this maybe to do with the fact that they could be in the same position as us in the future,i hope not,but someone correct me if i am wrong,they have a similar figure to what we had,hats off to them though they havn't fecked around

i couldn't clap them on the pitch in grays shirts just couldn't do it

but if they came in the bar after the game i would hope we all gave them a standing ovation for what they done for us,no matter how long some had been here,but before the game or during,i couldn't do it,think it would be disrespectful to the youth or new players,they are our concern now and the ones we have to back

It didn't happen until very late in the day.

 

Even up until 4pm we were hoping for a miracle - and believe me the players did not want to go.

 

It was heart breaking seeing them go this evening.

 

But rest assured the fight will go on.

 

Never say never.

 

Get behind the team, the officials & the bar staff - we are not beaten yet....

Deep down you must have expected some of them to go to Grays. Think about it, they're local, full-time, and have lots of money to throw around at the moment, just like you guys did. These players are just like you or me, they need to work. "Economic men" if you will, even if they did love playing for Hornchurch. If you're told you have to leave, then you get the best deal you can ASAP.

 

Good luck for the future, hope the young 'uns do you proud and the hardcore fans stick together for the good of the club.
