Andy said on RK tonight that he'd looked at 4 Hornchurch players. 1 of them has already said "No" on the grounds of finances ie part time, and he has to talk with the others. Must admit he didnt sound too hopeful though of securing any of them.

 

Any guesses as to the players concerned? I believe he had talked with Sigere previously, and given that he was at Margate previously, he must be one of those who would consider coming to us.

 

As for the others, lets hope that at least one is a central defender

28 year old defender and England under 21 international Jamie Stuart, who has previously played for Charlton, Millwall, Bury and Southend United.

 

27 year old defender Lee Matthews, who previously played for Dagenham & Redbridge for six years.

elam, what a joker, soon scarpered when the going got tough. that keeper was a bit of a fruitloop.Didn't see him shout at skins, was miles away, but it sounds about right.Wish I had seen it, was probably quite amusing to witness!!!

Elam has gone to Burton on a no contract football clause meaning he can come back to Hx any time he wants to (when he gets his wages) Westie, Mathews and some other bloke have all gone to Grays NO ONE ELSE HAVE GONE THEY ARE ALL STILL THERE

According to a quote in the NLP today Andy had talks with eight players this week, as we now have a break hopefully he'll have at least more time to strengthen the team where it needs it.

I seem to recall that during the close season Paul Macarthy was one player stole from under our noses by Hornchurch, wonder if he was approached again.

We do seem to be in freefall at the moment, but it's no more than I expected,I did doubt we could sustain our superb start, still feel that apart from the obvious need for strengthening our defence we need a striker and a creative/goal scoring midfielder,not much to ask for is it?
