Serves them right. Wage bill of £23k a week and crowds of 700 a week just don't add up. Death by a 1000 cuts..We've been there now wallow in the mire!!!

A bit harsh LoadsofHarry!!! The ripple effect from this particular splashdown may yet capsize a few smaller boats in the pond (Wots he going on about I hear you say)?

If it's true that the company bankrolling the Urchins were also sponsoring other areas of the Non-League game, then there may well be a few dolphins caught up in the tuna net.

I do like a metaphor...

Thanks for those kind words of support Harry.

Hope your team never gets in this situation because believe me..It was like a bloody wake at the club thursday night.

You say you have been there?? wallow in the mire??

If you had, either you are a complete c0ck, or you are talking out of it.

I wouldnt wish this on any club or their supporters

yours is not the first club this has happened to and sadly you wont be the last.

To other supporters you are not even the most important club this will ever happen to, So dont abuse fans of other clubs you dont know when you will need their help.

to be fair i dont care about the supporters of hornchurch or how they feel. you have experianced good times that not many other non league fans ever will so now you have to take the rough. what i do feel for is the players whos livlihoods are at stake and who have bills to pay. for them i really hope they get thru this and hope that it all turns out ok in the end. dont get me wrong i hope hornchurch survive etc but in what league does not really worry me. like i say i just hope the players and everyone who is dependant on an income from the club ends up ok.

obviously depending on the situation. listen i would love to play at hornchurches level and so would every other player at this level!

hornchurch have lived the dream and have experienced so many highes. not many if any other clubs will play live on t.v, have their chairman arrive in a helicopter etc etc (setting u up for jokes about your chairman and chopper there! ha ha). i was pleased to see it and really wished them well. now its all changed what im saying is i dont feel sorry for horchurch fans, would you take what they have had in the past few years, i know i would. what i am saying is i really feel for the people who now have to find their wages from another source to pay bills. i dont mean that in a horrible way.

i make you right ST players come and go but fans are their through out! dont mean i have to feel sympathy tho, not when they have had so much! i think all non league fans are quality. really do, real genuine fans....except town fans of course! ha ha!

Its always sad to see clubs get themselves in a mess like this and it defies belief that the owners can let it happen as they must know that they're living above their means. But goodluck to hornchurch for the turbulent times ahead.

Never say never old son. Once a few carpets have been lifted, who knows where you may end up. I suppose if you do go into adminstration on November 14, that is 10pts down the swannee a la Northwich?

First of all Psyco Monkey, congrats on the excellent result against Arlesley on Saturday in such difficult circumstances. But you are out of order slagging off the ESL. Many teams have gone from the ESL to go on to greater success, e.g. Canvey Island FC, Gt Wakering Rovers, Maldon Town etc.

The ESL also offers clubs a chance to drop down a level while they rebuild, e.g. Romford, Leyton, etc. You may one day be grateful to the ESL for offering you a refuge should you need to rebuild. And if you do, it won't be because you are s**t, but because you need to maintain your status as a senior NON-LEAGUE club.
