I'm sure that the first instinct of a lot of Romford fans is to shout "I Told You So" but I am equally sure that the thoughts of all right-thinking Boro supporters are with their GENUINE Urchins counterparts and the Hornchurch Club officers at this difficult time.

 

Now is the time for the newer Urchins followers to demonstrate that they REALLY DO support the club whose success they have attached their bandwagon to by continuing to attend matches and getting behind whatever group of players turn out in their colours. They may be in for some right hammerings, if past examples set by the likes of Wivenhoe, Croydon, Hemel, etc., are anything to go by. All of those clubs, along with Romford, have gone through similar experiences but are still around today, thanks to their loyal fan base and the individuals who are prepared to carry out the duties of club officers simply to keep the club alive.

 

One positive outcome of the "Bryco/Coldseal" era is that your club stands proudly at the top of the Conference South and, as such, may well attract a new backer. If you are this fortunate, for heaven's sake look beyond the money and ensure that the long-term future of the Club is secure should history repeat itself.

 

Stay together, get behind your players and officials and ride the storm!
