Players departing

As the club is now in breach of contract with the staff and players I have heard that a number of players have already been offered terms with other clubs. I can't imagine any of them wanting to stay and play for just the few pounds we can now afford to pay them. Will we have a team for Saturday?

Just a thought, but what are the rules for registering players in time for FA competitions? or would the Fa give you special circumstances, I hope they do. Also how many loan players are you allowed at any one time? I'm sure Gary Calder and Garry Hill will be able to get a decent side together for saturday, as someone said on here elsewhere, Gary had to do roughly the same thing whilst manager at Billericay. I think the only way to find out what your team will be is to go along on saturday. You'll see who your real supporters are. On the plus side, you should have a side together who want to play for your club and not just pick up the money. Good luck.

If you go to their website it tells you all about it.

Not sure but from what I've read on here they just sponsor these other clubs, and that sponsorship has been paid. So apart from finding new sponsors I think they're ok.

i know the players have to further their career and play but i would absolutly hate it if any of them went to grays and came back in two weeks time, don't know if i could stand it,(but i thank every player that has worn the red and white shirt and wish them all the best in the future)

Alas Eastside they do have mouths to fed and bills to pay. They will have to go to whoever will take them. Whats the chances of them suing the club for the value of their contracts though?

It wern't nice going down the club last night to see bar staff and officials not knowing if they had a job or where they are going to get any money from

Someone drove me to the club at 4.30pm yesterday and the look on everyone's faces said it all really. I'm gutted for them all.
Sorry I couldn't be there last night - you all know why - but the small crowd that I usually hang around with at matches have all expressed their intention of staying the course.
I'm nearing the end of my initial recovery period - so will be back over there soon. Just gutted I never got the chance to watch the "Dream Team" in action.
Speaking with Lurchin a few moments ago, and we both want to say that if there's anything we can do to help then we will do all we can. Unfortunately, you will have to discount our names from the team sheet! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smirk.gif" alt="" />
Chin up everyone...it's all part of life's rich tapestry.
