Defence on Saturday.

Read on Whitebucket that Mooro is struggling with an injury as well, and is rated as doubtful.

Perhaps this is a blessing in disguise and he was pretty lacklustre against Hornchurch, and it may give Andy the opportunity of giving Romauld a game in his place without the indignity of having to drop him.

Perhaps a line up of might be on show.

Wilko

Gledhill Porter Romauld Skinner/Lovell

Protheroe Saunders Drury Surey

Essandoh Pinnock

Romauld has been released.

It is very likely that anyone who wants to see Mitten in goal was absent from Barnet away, or else is clinically insane. As for the team that will start, I'm still not too sure he'll play Pinnock, however poorly Manny has been doing; otherwise I think it is the best squad we can offer, but, I fear, it is still not good enough to beat Carlisle...

Noty necessarily Andy's finest decision. With Mooro, Porter and Skins all carrying knocks, Shearer on loan and Romauld released, we are now a bit thin at the back, to say the least !!

So we could have no recognised centre backs tomorrow. Probably be shot down for this, but I really fear for our chances tomorrow, and hope Andy knows what he's doing, although after Shearer I'm not so sure. Get the feeling that last season in this situation Andy would have gone out, and got someone, even if on loan. I also get the impression that money is tight at the club

Well, I'm certainly not going to shoot you down for saying that - it's only natural to fear for our chances with our current bad run of form and against such tough opposition.

If Romuald has been released for footballing reasons, I find that rather strange. Irrespective of whether or not Andy considers him Conference standard, surely the timing of the decision, with injuries and Shears out on loan, is odd.

And as for JimGNFC's comment, I can't say I was all that impressed with Romauld against Stevenage - I was more impressed with him in the Dagenham and Accrington games - games, unlike Stevenage, that he actually played in <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

Yes Bernard old boy i missed the Barnet away game, i do not travel away anymore and yes i am probably clinically insane, but i prefer Mitten in goal his distribution, handling and control of the box is better and not so many aimless punts upfield.

Mitten played well towards the end of last season, and ok perhaps he had a bad game against Barnet i was not there, i do not dislike Wilko it is just my choice, the same as i would have played Pinnock in every game this season, but Andy picks the team and i never complain at his team selection.

It seems as though some of the euphoria of recent months is on the wane now,but we`ve got to realise that we have been punching above our weight for some time now,and truthfully we should be looking to finish in about the same position as last season.

Carlisle`s visit doesn`t seem to be a good time to lose central defenders, and I expect Andy will bring Jay Saunders into central defence. With Macca missing also, the midfield is going to look a bit weak so i`d like to see Pinnock up front with Essendoah

which should enable us to keep the ball up front a bit more.Likely lineup should be :

Wilkerson

Gledhill

Moore

Saunders

Skinner

Protheroe

Surey

Lovell

Drury

Essendoah

Pinnock

Well, Porter played against Hornchurch, so hopefully he will be available, unless there has been an injury update that I am not aware of. Again, putting Saunders in defence creates the problem of leaving the midfield a little lightweight, especially with Macca struggling to be fit for today's game.

Porter was injured in the game at Lewes midweek. Andy Ford is really excelling himself at the moment, obviously playing first teamers was a punishment for the FA Cup exit, but you didn't need to be Brain of Britain or FF to see it could backfire on us
