Some things don't add up. Basic things.

The ticket prices didn't go up this year - the average gate did, & we'd gone up a league. Even adding a quid wouldn't have been a big leap. Did West Ham added money to their ticket prices this season? Even if they sold a player fro umpteen million, they wouldn't use that to subsidise the club.

It doesn't mmatter how well you are doing in business, inflation is not 0%

The 2 home FA Cup ties - thre were still 150 kids let in for free (with an adult) they couldn't do it across the board - so I was told - because of the FA - that means they were quite happy to let kids in for free if accompanied by an adult.

The FA Cups alone they could have charged £8 - £10 & still got 4,000 in. So effectively that was a bit like saying "we don't want to make an additional few thousand".

This club had the biggest wage bill in non league football, but didn't take the oppertunity to make the extra revenue when they had the chance, whilst simultaneously spending loads.

Bridge - I know, fella, & I'm with you.

I've run my own one man band business for nearly 20 years, & although I'm thick as two short ones, I learned the basics the hard way, & this does not make any kind of sense, & I can't see for the life of me how it ever did.

How's Bigchin doing?

I'm sorry Uncle Urhcin, but that is a sickening post by you. I'm sure that you are gutted, but to come on here singing the praises of guiding us from Ryman 3rd to top of the Southern Conf. is totally uncalled for. You have let the club, its fans and YOUR employees (players, management & backroom staff) down badly. You say its the start of another era, yet I assume that the players all have contracts that they will expect Hornchurch Football Club to honour, one way or another. How in gods name can the club do that? I've never been a poster on this site, yet I have been coming over the Urchins home and away giving them my support. From people that I have spoken with you always promised to leave the club in safe hands, how are you doing that now? You talk as well about the last 4 years, well excuse me, but what about the previous 67 years? Are they of no relevance? I'm trying my hardest to look on the bright side yet I'm really struggling to see one.

Unc, like Bigchin says, you've always been most welcoming too us but the fact is, it looks like the end of the club!

Who is going to play for us now when all the players go?

The club may well have moved up the leagues but I predict we'll be lower in the next 4 than we were were when you joined.

I'm astonished and gutted, I really believed we'd be seeing Hornchurch playing League football in two years.

We're a bl&&dy laughing stock now.

Its us fans that will have to face the taunting and p*ss taking. Uncle Urchin will no doubt be heading off to warmer sunnier clime's. Made m smile reading that piece in Saturday's programme about that guy moving to Spain, entitled Adios Hornchurch. Uncle Urchin could have written the same sort of thing!

Its premeture to say its the end of the club,if the fans and staff that are left pull together we can get somewhere, maybe not this season or next but with the support we have and passion for our club we can make it happen,it may only be a distant dream but dreams are worth living for, thats what makes the world such a lovely place(most of the time)

chin up lads and never forget the experience we have been through, remember stevenage, burton, gravesend, darlington and how unlucky we were against tranmere and SMILE

its not the end,its not even close

Indeed it may be premature Eastside, I hope you are right and it isn't the end, but who knows. Lets wait to see just how far up the swanny Uncle has left us and if he has left any guarantees in place to help us out short term. We can but live in hope........

A lot of posts on here made me smile, they were the outraged winging of people who cant belive theat they might have to try and win things the old fasioned way instead of buying their way up, then having ago at the chairman who has lost more then his football club, hes lost his livelyhood as well. You people are not real fans your not the kind of people any club wants, if your only there to watch your team win then go and wacth Arsenal or something. The people I feal sorry for are those who supported the team before the money turned up not those who were to stupid to realise it could never last!

a lot of the posts make me smile as well, like the ones who come on here gloating and basically telling us we should of known better, what happens if bedford town go up and suddenly have 500 more fans, are you going to turn these people away,no you will welcome them into your club and hope they can feel the same passion as you do!

alot of people feel let down and probably don't think too rationally at the moment,we have enjoyed everything about this club in recent times and the fans that come in to the club for the best part will continue to have strong feelings for this club, everyone has suffered some more than others but the fans and staff left are the only ones that can help this club now and we are determined to do it!!!!
