Couldn't Talksport get involved? They used to advertise their games quite regularly.

They probably advertised the games because they were paid to do so. I expect the dosh has stopped so the adverts will stop.

I'm not sure why anyone would ever want to own a non-league football club. Ask your mate Kingy when you see him what it costs every week.

I don't think it's Jeff so much but his old man that provides the cash.

Choules admits interest in Saints post

By Marc Dodd

TONY CHOULES has declared his interest in the St Albans City job after quitting as manager of Hendon FC yesterday (Thursday)for personal reasons.

Choules said: "I think it's the kind of post that you've got to have an interest in if you're not currently with a club because St Albans are a big club.

"I don't know the closing date for apllications or how much interst there's been, but it's definitley a job I'm interested in."

Choules took over from Dave Anderson at Hendon the start of the season after a successful number of seasons with Northwood, and after having to virtually rebuild the squad from scratch, had made an impressive start to the campaign.

While manager of Northwood, Choules led the club to two promotions, the Ryman Division One North championship and both League Cup and Associate Members Trophy success.

He also discovered Scott Fitzgerald, who went on to become Watford's leading goalscorer last season.

However, despite having excellent non-league contacts, Choules was unable to bring top players to Northwood or Hendon because of the stature of the club, but, with St Albans City a bigger draw in non-league circles, that should not be a problem should he get the job at Clarence Park.

"I know who it's going to be-e-e-e-e,

Because Gibbo talks to me-e-e-e-e,

Nah-nah-ne-nah-nah,

But I'm not going to tell you-ou-uo-ou,

I've got a secret,

Nah-nah-ne-nah-nah."

Lap-dog.
