ALAN DOWSON (Player/Manager) – Alan was appointed manager at the beginning of October following the departure of Terry Back. Swans’ Football in the Community Officer, Alan is a hard-tackling left-back or central defender who made his debut for the club on Boxing Day, 1996. After starting as a youth under George Graham at Millwall, he moved on to play for Fulham, Bradford City and Darlington, making 55 League appearances. He later played in the Conference for Slough Town and his home-town club Gateshead, and despite several lengthy spells out with injury has now passed 300 appearances for Swans, being their longest serving player.

 

 

 

LlOYD WYE (Coach) – After starting out with Southampton Lloyd, with his brother Shane, had a long and distinguished career as a defender with Woking, winning an Isthmian League championship medal and three FA Trophy winners medals. He also played for Wanganui in New Zealand where he represented the national side. He later moved on to play for Staines Town, where he had two spells, Farnborough Town and Molesey. Left the club when Lawrance Batty left as Manager but has returned as Alan Dowsons Assistant

 

 

 

 

 

NICK GINDRE (Goalkeeper) – Argentinian born Nick is a highly promising young keeper who joined Swans two seasons ago from local Combined Counties club Walton Casuals. After becoming a regular in the Suburban League and impressing with some fine displays he made his senior debut against Sutton United in the Surrey Senior Cup in January 2003, soon establishing his place. He moved to the USA during the following close season to attend university, but returned in December 2004 to regain his senior spot. He spent the last close-season training and having trials at Millwall.

 

 

 

 

 

 

FRANCIS DOLAN (Defender) – After playing for Woking’s youth side, Francis moved to Farnborough Town and then Egham Town. He is a versatile defender who can play at right-back or in central defence, and has also shown he has an eye for goal. After making the first team for Swans towards the end of 1999-2000 he has since been a regular, making over 150 appearances. A former Swans’ Player of the Year, he unfortunately missed the second half of last season through injury.

 

 

 

 

 

ADAM THOMPSON (Defender) – Adam initially played as a striker for Swans’ youth side before switching to central defence. After several impressive displays for the Suburban League side he made his senior debut at the end of February 2002 and has since been a regular. When moved back up front on occasion he showed he still has an eye for goal. Has now made over 100 appearances.

 

 

 

 

 

SEAN THURGOOD (Defender) – Sean is a strong defender who joined Swans initially on a month’s loan from near-neighbours Kingstonian in January 2003 before making the move permanent. He joined K’s after two seasons at Wimbledon, progressing to the first-team through the reserve side, making 37 appearances and scoring two goals.

 

 

 

 

 

JAMIE REIVE (Defender/Midfield) – Jamie is a young defender or midfield player who had a major role in gaining promotion for the reserve side last season, but also made several first team appearances. He had previously played for local Combined Counties League side Walton Casuals and is a good passer of the ball and reader of the game.

 

 

 

 

 

SIMON SOBIHY (Defender/Midfield) – Simon joined Swans at the beginning of last season after three seasons with Corinthian Casuals, being voted their Player of the Season for 2001-2002. He started out with Kingstonian before having spells with Chessington United and Leatherhead.

 

 

 

 

 

 

TRISTAN FRONTIN (Midfield) – Tristan is a combative midfielder who has come through the youth and reserve sides at Stompond Lane, breaking in to the first team in the 2001-2002 season. Since then he has mainly been a regular in Swans’ Suburban League side, helping them to promotion to the Premier Division last season.

 

 

 

 

 

 

LEE RIDDELL (Midfield) – Lee is currently on loan at Swans from Nationwide Conference club Farnborough Town

 

 

 

 

 

 

SAM KEEVILL (Midfield) – After starting out with 2 years as a professional at Fulham, which included a loan spell at Kilmarnock, Sam moved on to play for Sutton United, Slough Town and Basingstoke Town during season 2001-2002. He spent 2002-2003 with Braintree Town, moving to Swans at the beginning of last season. After unfortunately missing the bulk of the season through injury he established a regular place in the latter stages. Left briefly this season for a spell at Erith & Belvedere, but returned to Walton at the end of October

 

 

 

 

 

NEIL LAMPTON (Forward/Midfield) – A quick, skillful, wide player, N.J., as he is best known, began at QPR before joining the academy at Fulham, then moving up to the reserve side. He moved to Kingstonian before joining Swans in January 2003. He took a while to show his best form at Walton but is now a vital member of the team, including being the regular penalty taker. Neil left for a brief spell at Whyteleafe in September but is now happily back at Stompond Lane.

 

 

 

 

 

CARL GIBBS (Forward) – After impressing with his lively forward play in just a few reserve team appearances, Carl soon established his first team spot in 2002-03 having been given his senior debut in February. Was by some distance Swans’ top scorer last season with 25 goals, that and his all-round play earning him both the Player of the Year and Players’ Player of the Year awards.

 

 

 

 

 

 

SCOTT EDGAR (Forward) – After playing for several clubs in the Scottish League, including Queens Park and Stranraer, Scott moved south, signing for Swans at the beginning of season 2001-2002. He became a regular scorer for the club, finding the net 31 times in 67 appearances before leaving for Kingstonian midway through 2002-2003. He then had a spell at Dulwich Hamlet before returning to Stompond Lane in October.

 

 

 

 

 

 

REGGIE SAVAGE (Forward) – Reggie is a quick, skillful striker who was a regular scorer for Swans’ reserve side for some seasons, breaking in to the first team at the end of the 2001-2002 season. A crowd pleaser, Reggie regularly finds the net on his first team appearances. He moved to Kingstonian at the beginning of this season, but returned to Swans at the end of October.
