Essex Senior Cup

Beat Eton Manor 6-1 tonight and it was well worth the 5 pounds admission fee.

 

A combination of first team squad players and reserves put on an impressive display as plucky Manor were swept aside.

 

Jason Hallett scored 4 and Leon Gordon and an own goal completed the scoring.

 

Jeff Minton and Chenners had good comeback games from injury and a couple of the young reserves showed up well especially Steve Corbell who had a decent match on the left wing.

 

Brought Ashley Harrison on as a last minute outfield sub which raised a few laughs. Don't think he even touched the ball!!!

Really enjoyed last nite, thought there was a good atmosphere even though there wasnt many there. I was very impressed with steve corbell, wasnt shy running at defenders and always got round the back of them like a winger should do.

Ash went to take the corner for his first touch but then the ref blew his whistle he looked gutted

Think the ref felt sorry for Eton Manor. I'm sure we still had a few minutes left to play!!
