Last Nights Thurrock Game

Well to be honest can't say I'm too disappointed in going out of the Carthium Cup last night.

 

Thurrock are obviously taking it seriously by playing their full first team. Or is it that all they have got in terms of players?!

 

I thought we played quite well and I was particurlarly impressed by the two triallists (Clancy & Dean). Both looked very capable of being very good additions to our squad. Thought Dean's crossing ability and his ability to beat the man was very good. Does anyone know whether we will be making these boys a more permanent thing?

 

My biggest disappointment from last nite was Ziggy (even though he did get the goal). He didn't look up for it at all and surely last night was a game whereby he should be showing the Wizzard that he is worthy of a place in the first team. Sorry Ziggs.

 

As for Mr Kandol, can I suggest you purchasing some stabilisers?! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Agreed - thought we played pretty well but just didn't have it in the final third.

 

Most of the time Ziggy looked as tho he was about to do something good but then lost it. I do think both he and Jacko held the ball up pretty well but sometimes lacked support from midfield.

I'm pretty sure the club got the result they needed last night.

Not that I'm saying they went out to lose, but in the grand scheme of things, it's just not that important to us.

Yeah i was very impressed with Dean and Clancy they really went out there to impress and managed to do so !

IMO on the night the best players we had were the tried and trusted. Kirk Jackson was excellent and Johnny Martin was good too, Lockie did well considering it was his first game for a long time.

The lad Dean on right midfield did well in the final third and put in some good crosses, Clarkie did well also when he came on, if only he had some pace!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
