I don't really agree with this, and think it will seriously diminish the number of people who can contribute - and hey, if we have to put up with a few annoying posts so what.

It also means supporters from other clubs can't contribute - i went to go on the Salisbury website the other day to say thanks to their fans, cos i chatted to loads after the game and they were all very friendly considering they had just lost - BUT i had to register, and didn'thave time or inclination.

Well I think this is a real shame. Some anonymous posters annoy me along with their comments but as Chris said there should be free speech and we know to ignore the rubbish.

Clearly, some people are unable to ignore what is posted on here, and if they can't sift the welcome comments from the unwelcome ones then in my view it is their problem. Personally think it is being oversensitive and using a sledgehammer to crack a nut.

Since our victory on Sunday, several Walsall and Salisbury fans have been on to congratulate us, thank us etc. Whilst registration may be relatively quick how many one off/irregular posters are going to bother? I think we will lose out on some of the beauty of non-league football.

As I post this there are 31 anonymous users viewing the forum - all voiceless.

Personally, I've fought against this for a long, long time. It's been an ongoing battle for some time now that the club have wanted this to be registered users only, and after some of the comments passed at the meeting last night regarding the 'website', I've finally bowed to the pressure.

Needless to say, I totally agree it should be come one, come all, but the powers that be clearly don't agree and find that it is giving ammunition for people to sour our relationship with Windsor.

These points are all fair and I would like to stress that the posters I wish to get rid of are those who make derogratory comments about our club and others. It is a difficult situation as it is nice to hear from other clubs fans and this new system will severely restrict the number who come on here. I suppose its swings and roundabouts but in the end if the club feels that it needs to act as such then we will have to accept the decision. Hopefully those people who have a strong enough inclination to comment will take the short time required to register and so can still voice their views.

Personally I agree BR, but I've had my hand somewhat forced on this issue. Apologies. I would have preferred to have a 'free-for-all' on here.

There's always the Rebelsonline messageboard---is it OK to post a link on here so that anyone who doesn't want to register can still post. I'm sure Nathan would enjoy deleting anything that he considered innappropriate---he's power mad.
