A Fun Idea?

Having seen the 'success' other club sites have had in running a prediction league during the club season, anybody up for taking part in one for fun, based on our conference fixtures? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />

Lets just say that James has a bizarre obsession in close range goals.....

 

.....by hook or by crook, (or head, shoulder, elbow, hand, chest, stomach, knee. Oh! and foot).

Basically, I was thinking of a forum where all could first enter to say that they wish to take part - a single topic will suffice for all those to enter.

 

Obviously, the very first topic would be a list of rules - what type of predictions were required for each match & the points earnt for being correct.

 

Then each following topic would be the next league fixture, under which each person would state their match predictions.

 

All I would need to do is keep count of the points earnt and give an update of positions in the prediction league.

 

Overall, quite simple to manage - we just need a seperate forum so that it is easy to pick out the entries & predictions.

 

I believe this is the way that's it's organised at some of the other sites - St. Albans, for example.

 

And James, it doesn't matter if the ball does go in off the elbow - you won't get any extra points! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Roll Eyes]" src="images/icons/rolleyes.gif" />

How about double points for a bearded scorer, and treble points for a goal from one of our mudguarded brethren.

I was only saying at the end of last season when it got a bit tight that I would be happy with dirty 1-0 wins all the way to the end of the season.

 

Dirty goals are important, witness Satan's scrambled equaliser against Aldersh*t or Beasts ricochet effort.

 

It sounds a good idea Daz, for that I'll stop all talk of dodgy behaviour.
