Cup runs, the league and concentration...

2nd Nov Thurrock Carthium? Cup

6th Nov Arlesey Town FA Trophy R1

9th Nov Dorchester Town Conference South

10th Nov Thurrock Essex Senior Cup

13th Nov Boston United FA Cup R1

Our next 5 matches are in 5 different cups. Now at this time of the year we need to think about our prioritys. We really need to win the league and get promotion so we gotta keep on track in the league and not lose concentration cos of all these cup games.

The Essex Senoir Cup (aka Happy Shopper Cup & pi$$ poor cup) we should basically stick John Lawrences boys out there for that game as its of very low priority, and could do with being off our fixtures list.

Carthium? Cup. I'm not too sure about this one really but I think we should try to avoid being in too many cups and losing concentration in the league (Welling is an example of this) Stick to the Fa Trophy and Fa Cup really.

Conference South. We all know this one. Win it. Simple as that.

Fa Cup. Excellent money maker and attracts the fans. The further we get the better and hopefully to the 3rd round where the big guns come in. Try to stay in this one.

Fa Trophy. The non league fa cup. A nice one to be in and would be nice to do a double try to stay in this one.

SO basically we don't want too much on our plate and should decide what we want now before going for everything and ending up with nothing. Decide our prioritys and don't lose track of the league. We have to be realistic about everything. We maybe be up there but we're only human

Spot on Pysco, the league is the main event and the cups are smaller fights on the bill. I do however feel we have the sqaud to win this league without too much trouble (keep eyes on Grays, have you heard what they are up to now, got some money and gonna try and copy us). FA Trophy is a real possibility and will give plenty of cup fun on the way. The FA Cup as you rightly said is a good earner, bumper crowds and some v creditable columns in the proper papers. Imagine a third round tie...........at home to a premier side, fingers crossed. Now on to the 2 bob cups, Seniors one, John's boys will do us proud i'm sure, waste of time for the 1st team squad. Carthium Cup, if we get through round one and knocked out of the proper cups go for it.... if not lets not lose too much sleep over this one, (sorry Carl). We do need to prioritise and get focussed.

There you go lads.....

Lads, lads, lads.

I'm very sure a manager with as much experience as The Wizard would have been looking at this possible fixture pile up for quite some time.

And after the start we have had this season I think it's more than fair for us to let the man decide.

Afterall, do any of us (with the exception of VoiceOfRubbish) think we can do a better job?

Go on Gary, take us to the promised land!

Fair point Digger, It wouldn't be the worst thing if we got knocked out of all cups but beat Boston and won all our league matchs this month...We could then concentrate on the league and the Fa cup run (hopefully getting to the 3rd round) but then wheres the fun of the cup runs?

In Carthium cup, play the 1st team.

vs arlesey, play a weakened team, i.e. rest nut nut & try Westhead out, give westy a start & rest elam.

dorchester, conference south - have it.

essex senior cup - the kids are all right.

boston - 'kin have it.
