We have just signed Austin Berkley from Barnet.

 

Berkley has played over 150 league matches in his career, mainly with Shrewsbury, and you can find a resume of his career here

I saw him play on Sky against Southport, he looked alright. Pretty good technique and touch. Played sort of an advanced midfield role.

Another midfielder signed, has Fordy got a new formation that includes 7 midfielders?

I think we could even find a place for Mr L Affour if he could drop down the leagues to play for us of course.

Heh heh. Austin was in my class for five years at school. Played for Gills, Swindon, Shrewsbury and Barnet. I did suggest signing him last season - will Fordy make a me a scout now?

 

As I recall, Austin was quick, so I just fouled him a lot. Flair is all very well, but that sort of player is always vulnerable to a well-timed waist-high tackle. <img border="0" title="" alt="[big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" />

With reference to the signings of midfielders by Andy , maybe he intends playing Strouts in the pocket ( thanks Big Ron ) behind Che (?)

Did we get Nev Roach or are we still awaiting our final missive from the Boss on his final signing ?

I expect a few folk will be trialled before the start of the season anyway .
