What a day!

First 15 we were under the cosh and took our time to settle, then against the run of play Elam sticks one in, 1-0. Gravesend come straight back at us, 2 mins later a well taken cross and header, 1-1. Now by this time there had been a few strange decisions and I came to the conclusion that the ref was actually the Gravesend sub. On the stroke of half time a penalty given against us for falling over in the box, Bayes did his best to scare the whole of the stadium but to no avail, a well taken spot kick 2-1 down at half time.

GH had a lot to say to the ref on his way to the clubhouse and I can understand why.

Second half was brilliant, it is at this point that we showed how much we have improved, where after a good period of pressure, we were awarded a penalty, obviously the word in the refs ear had done the trick. Cas placed his shot well and all square.

Not it is at about this point that we showed how good we really are we continued with the pressure a free kick awarded outside the box and up steps Cas to bring home the glory. Last thirteen minutes were nervous and the added on time was excessive, but we can't mention anything about that can we.

All in all a fabulous match, I lost my voice from shouting, well done to GH and all of the staff and all of the team. Man of the match Darren Caskey.

Boston away now will I take time off from work for this hmmmm????????????????????

Hello Dig

Well done mate, from my angle certainly one of the great moments at the Ol' Stadium

You fans were great today and I speak on behalf of everybody there and say "Well Done".

Now let's take it on and fill those coaches to Boston.

Once again

Thank you for your support!

It's about three hours up there. Ground is fairly near the town centre and is quite a decent ground.

That's true. Never driven up to Boston straight from Canvey. I went there a few years ago when I was staying in Norfolk. It's a nice town so you should enjoy your visit. Best of luck. If you get a replay I might pop down the Stadium and watch the replay.

You'll beat Southend in the second round and then play us at the Lane in the third!!
