EUFC FAN
I wouldn't mind if the Urchins came up next season. It would mean another nice n' close away game. So me and my mates get to see more games!!
Gordon T
diving skills? it was clumsy defenders who got in a twist from his footy skills
The Monk
He had good close control skills and had ability to run at defences but thats about all...seriously he wasn't that impressive and hardly anything to rave about. As for the defenders comment how could you call leaning on a player clumsy? Our player leant on manny he took a tumble and the penalty was given. ********. Gordon T
Becasue leaning and pushing a player in the box, with a ref who could give a penalty for it is clumsy!!
Harry J Allstars
Quote: "And as for some of your supporters with their racist comments about Manny less said. " I heard one. It was early in the first half some bloke said something about Gravesend and the said return yourself to Pakistan. Horrible to hear, no wonder Asians don't go to games. I think it was the same bloke a bald headed guy that also had a go at our Jessica and her grey hair, Vice chair of the Fleet. No doubt he was at Chelsea on Wednesday with his first team West Ham, and has just been let out of his cell. This does NOT reflect upon all Hornchurch fans though. I'm sure this guy was one of few facists that didn't fancy the trip to Plymouth.
The Monk
Thats not the player being clumsy, thats bad refereeing. If a referee can't tell the difference between a lean and a push, whats he doing out there?
Hempstead Gaz
Stood alongside Jessica in the 2nd Half. She was horrified by the language, abuse and racism given by the 30 or so thugs towards the centre line side of the Gym. So much so her group had to move to the River side. IIt is something the Urchins will have to sort out if they do make the Conference, as they could end up playing behind locked doors. Where were the stewards? In a huddle behind the goal at the bar end!!!

Unfortunately Psyco Monkey our league (the conference) and probably yours to seems to attract bad officials. If you think that the standard will improve when you get up to the Conference next season, then ask any Gravesend fan. They don’t get any better! The one or two half decent refs get moved on to the league, leaving as with the crap! Anyway, enough of my ranting. Have a good season and see you next year (possibly).
FleetFanatic
I couldn't have sworn that 'leaning' on a player is just as much a foul as 'pushing'. Leaning = preventing the player to play the ball = obstruction.

In a huddle behind the goal at the bar end!!! The Family side is the Riverside, if you don't want to listen to it then go sit over there. However, we may have been giving abuse to the linesman but NO racial comments were made, I assure you that. I don't think that needs to be addressed at all; we definatly ain't the only team in non league to be a little rowdy, look at Aldershot. In addition, there was stewards about and doing there jobs as on two occasions (I was standing next to a steward) he told an Urchin for his un nessasary language. Finally if you don't like that sort of thing why go to a football match? Go watch bowls instead.
Harry J Allstars
On one point you said it didn't happen. I said it did, so I'm a liar? And then you say that a steward had to worn an Urchin of his language? Thought you said it didn't happen?
The Monk
I said that racial abuse never happened, I said nothing about a bit of bad language...
Blinkjim
"Finally if you don't like that sort of thing why go to a football match? Go watch bowls instead." Did the notion of going to watch a football match ever cross you mind, yes i accept banter is part and parcel if done in a friendly way, but the moment it becomes agressive or racial it becomes down right disgusting and frankly there is no need for it. Judging by your comments your support the minority of fans who find the need to taunt a player because of his colour!!
Harry J Allstars
Oh so I am a liar? It happen mate whever you heard it or not it happened. I was travelling home tonight, my dad was driving. We were listening to radio fivelive and it was James Alexander-Gordon with classified football results. The volume was nice and loud so nothing could be missed. I was listen out for three Results in perticular Wigan, Brentford and Leyton Orient. Didn't hear any of them, we had got to the Scottish Div Two until I realised I had missed them. It was great reception and as I say nice and loud but I just wasn't concentrating. So one of three things has happened hear 1. You just wasn't paying attention or at another part of the ground and didn't hear the comment. Fair enough. 2. You choose not to hear the comment and your now denying that it happened which in a way makes you as bad as the offender. 3. You are the person that made the comment and after Wednesday I hope you enjoyed your Cell.
Bridge
Jim, I'm sorry mate, but you are talking utter ******. Manny was never taunted about his colour and your out of order for suggesting it mate. Did you take a look at the Hornchurch players today....ermmm i think you find one or two of them are black. Manny was only slagged of for diving. When does calling someone a DIVER become racist. No swearing please..... Blinkjim
im afraid the have to go with the views of harry that mayby you were in a different section of the ground or mayby you didn hear it, but more than one person has suggested that racial abuse was used, and whilst i respect that you may not of heard it, does not mean that it may not of happened. about the bit about going to watch bowls to avoid that sort of stuff, you may of ment otherwise seems to suggest that you find it acceptable when it does happen, if you ment otherwise please correct me! I know this is not in reply to me but I would just like to say I never actually heard anyone say any racist abuse towards a player. What I heard was some bloke, don't know who and I would be able to pick him out of a line up, say something in refernce to Gravesend and return to Pakistan. It is well known that Gravesend has a large Asian community. So I would say this is more an attack on them and not Manny. I heard the dive taunts towards Manny and thats fair do's as far as I'm concearned
Blinkjim
Im not having a go at you Harry but Rascism is rascism, who ever it is aimed at, and whatever form it comes in, and serves no place in football.
