I think Andy Ford will ,like J.C., stick with 4 4 2.

If Macca is out for a few weeks that might mean we get to play with two wide men rather than three destructive players in midfield.

I'd start with Sidebe and Drury and tell both of them to hug the sidelines.

I can't see us keeping Carlisle out on Saturday so if we want to get anything out of the game we will probably need at least two goals.

Our problem is we have been creating nothing from the wings. It's a bit pointless playing wingers such as Moussa and Dukebox (I know Andy isn't a true winger) when they are failing wek in week out to do the job.
442 simply is not working at present. Look at our recent results. Shocking.
Why not tinker a little bit to get the best out of what we have.
Given the news that Macca is out for 3 weeks, I would now favour this sort of line up.

i think that when moussa plays on the wing we do produce chances, drury tends to do a mcmanaman and wander infield, moussa always goes for the byline (99% of the time) and gets crosses in.

One thing about the suggested lineup - it leaves out a "joker in the pack" - Andy talked of getting someone in after Saturday at Hornchurch - wonder if any deals may get done before this weeks game??

Although defence looks a priority because of injuries, I would hope that we are also looking for another striker.

 

Everything was rosy when Roy & Manny were smacking them in.....

 

.....but apart from Pinnock & Islam (unproven at this level & currently out on loan) - who else is there???

Bit of a catch 22 regarding Taffy....how can he get experience at this level if he doesn't play ?....didn't look that bad when he came on against Leigh, and would have no doubt had a goal if Pinnock had crossed instead of trying to score from a narrow angle. Might be handy to have hin on the bench as an extra attacking option ?

For what its worth -

 

Try dropping Manny for Pinnock, Manny can then prove himself when he comes on in 70th!!

 

Back four speaks for itself at the moment - possibly Boudaji for Moore?

 

Leave Drury in there he looks better starting and i actually think Moussa looks better from bench.

 

Jay must stay centre mid - much his better position.

 

Hardest decision is replacing Macca with who?! Someone with a bit of bite!?
