General Gordon....General Gordon...er....FFUSA, Fleet Boy, Squawk, Fleet Fanatic, Alan W, John@theFleet, Bill Kent, Whitebucket, David Holden...David Holden.....Your boys took a Hell of a Beating!!!

Sorry lads...only joking.

I couldn't go to the match but listened to Chaz & Jamie...and it sounded like a well contested match...maybe the ref was a little too hasty to award penalties and free kicks, but that's "the rub" these days.

Hope those that travelled had a safe journey home and enjoyed their trip to "Telly Tubby Land"

Best Wishes and Good Luck for the rest of the Season, as always.

Downloadable video clips will be available later/tomorrow on http://www.hornchurchfc.com/

No shocks around in the cup - 4 conference sides held to draws by lower level teams (minor surprises, I guess) and Northwich lost to Vauxhall Motors (but again, that wouldnt be a total surprise).

Also, Accrington losing at home to Leigh is real surprise.

Apart from Northwich, ourselves, and Accy the only other Conference sides to go out were Farnborough (at Barnet), York (at Carlisle), and Crawley (at Daggers).

Demonstrates he difference between Conference & other levels, I guess.

i can't belive it couldn't get to the game or radio as i was out come home to see the score on Ceefax, kick in the teeth. we will beat them next year in the conference.

Real shame as i know we relay on the FA Cup money a little bit, like last year, we got 2nd round and the money made us get better players. real shame, i know the players must of played to there best like they normally do but thats the difference about part time and full time.

lets forget about it and beat Carlisle next week, chin up.

COME ON YOU REDDDDDDDDDS!!!

Shame really, in parts a good performance - in other parts terrible. Defence looked good - midfield not in it and Roy and Manny very poor games.

Have to say, sour grapes aside, what was the Hornchurch penalty and freekcik for? ok the freekick deserved a goal it was class, but should it have been!? We will see on the hornchurch videos if they decide not to edit the penalty and freekick out of it? More sour grapes - was the referee paid, does he have a bryco conservatory and is he switching to double glazing? If so il come and smash them when hes done!!

Never mind - we needed the money - and they didnt, but thats life

The rich get richer and the poor get poorer - still thought we were the slightly better side on the day! oh well!! . . . . . .

Very disappointing - thought they were marginally better (certainly second half) in that they hit the post and bar, but there wasn't a lot in it in a rather poor game.

For the last four weeks we've looked ordinary - where's the zip gone, the eagerness to get forward, the little tricks by Manny? They at least had players that got on the end of the ball and ran through on goal. I'm not sure we had one striker v keeper moment all game.

Saw the Hornchuch penalty, got a perfect view, Moore could have done nothing to get out of the way. Yes it clearly struck his hand, but it wasn't deliberate, and he couldn't possibly get out of the way.

What's the rules on that one?

One for the experts that is.

Ridiculous decision, thought we were the better side and deserved at least a replay. God knows what the ref was on though, the few Hornchurch fans that bothered to turn up must have been pissing themselves.

Yeah the few 1200 of us

How can you lot complain about the ref? Never a penalty in the first half and whenever we were through the lino stuck his flag up.

The ref constantly leaned towards the Conference side, the 'higher' leagued team, but that doesn't suprise me as we all know how corrupt the FA is when it comes to the cup, and anyone who was at Tranmere last year and even today at times can vouch for that too.

Not meaning to offend anyone here but if we'd have been on form we'd have whooped you lot, you wern't nothing special and how your fourth in the Conference I'll never know but maybe you had an off day?

Well what ever happened and didn't happen, it's all been and gone now, the results final and won't change so everyone should look forward to the future. Best of luck in the conference Fleet and I'm sure you'll wish us luck at Boston and the rest of the season.

Twat. We have not been form in the last few weeks either. you don't get to fifth in the conference by mistake, it's due to hard work. While I say that I'm sure at the moment you are the best in your league as you are top and rightly so.

Why complain the about ref? He won you the game. And why complain about anything you won the game and could of maybe had more. You beat a team a league above you and your in the first round of the best competition in the world. Farking Hell talk about spoilt.

Well the first half today I thought was rather tight and we were lucky to be 2-1 up at the break. Our penalty didn't look to convincing from where I was but I was a long way away.

Second half, minus Maccas, and we put in a very poor display in my opinion. Manny and Roy both looked isolated. How many runs did Manny make that ended in him having no support and losing the ball? How many times did Roy make flick ons that weren't picked up by no one? The midfield display was just generally quite poor and they weren't getting up the field enough and getting into the game. Thought that Drury looked a little better than in previous weeks though and I also thought that Saunders looked pretty solid.

Defence looked shaky at times but then again no worse than it has done for the past few weeks! lol.

But to me the game was lost with Maccas departure, twisted ankle apparently. Lets hope he's fit for Carlisle.

On the goals, first hornchurch goal looked like a good move by hornchurch and it bit of lack of concentration by us, but then again I missed a bit of it. Good header for our equaliser by Jay (?). Skinns penalty was well put away but in my opinion it maybe wasn't a penalty (however, if Maccas got injured from that actual challenge I may be wrong). The Hornchurch penalty looked a bit petty from where I was (a long way away), and giving it probably levelled things for Maccas penalty earlier. And Caskeys free kick was brilliant, but have absolutely no idea what it was for?! And that decision ultimately cost us the game, despite us not having put in a display worthy of a win.

p.s. Hornchurch's ground was very threadbare looking if ya get me? Stands were a tight fit, and the lack of roofing meant that horrible sun was right in our eyes for most of that game. Don't like grounds like that with a lack of enclousure and atmosphere, ours maybe [****!!****] but its got good atmosphere.

Generaaly a poor game, Hornchurch deserved to win, as they seemed to 'want' it more.

Both penalty decisions were dreadful, Macca was barely touched, yet the ref blew, and Mooro looked done by a high bounce.

Having said that Horchurch had at least 2 other golden chances, hit the post and the bar and did score a cracking free cick.

In the second half we were not at the races.

Injuries did us no favours, but they were not reserves coming on, but quality conference first teamers.

Some players need to take a hard look at their own performances, and perhaps, just perhaps, Andy should start ringing the changes for players who are champing at the bit. (Pinnock).

Whetever differences Andy has had with Shears, he must recall him after his month loan. Mooro isn't the shadow of the player he was last year, and does not instil confidence to those around him.

Also the Manny / Roy partnership just isn't working at present. give Pinns a run to see if he can strike up a partnership.

Just hope the injuries are not too serious, but Skins did look to in trouble.
