I wish he would come back, had a great couple of seasons with us, play him where he should be, up front or wide and he would be a revelation!

Regardless of what went on in the summer, after all other players have returned who left under a cloud.

The fans would be supportive they know a good player when they see one & know where they should be played, there are several examples im sure we all know about that leave us scratching our heads come 3pm on a saturday.

I think he's found that playing in front of no supporters is not all it's cracked up to be.And neither is the Ryman league.Dave's been over to watch ETFC on a few occassions recently and found he was still welcomed.

 

A message to Dave Allen though : This will be the 'last chance saloon'.You've walked out of the club twice in search or Ryman football.Not many would be given a third chance.If you do come back,i hope you reward OUR loyalty with the sort of performances we know you are capable of.

 

 

Ps... To be amounst the likes of Ronny watson/James Bunn and still be classed as having bad attitude,Dave must have constantly been in a seriously bad mood.

I've always liked David. I think you are being a bit too hard on him. I think he was not comfortable as a Centre-back! The David we know makes mistakes and recovers brilliantly, if he is last man he may not have time to do the David Allen special recovery.

Dave Allen is a superb footballer and I've always admired him, whether playing as a wingback or a centre back.

 

However this business of players leaving under a cloud then being allowed back is beyond a joke.

I must agree with you, if players have left under a cloud, then what has changed for them to want to come back.

 

ATTITUDE has been raised as an issue, especially following the brentwood away fixture; we need players who want to play and want to win, EVERY GAME.
