Is the new chairman going to be a certain ex-chairman?

If true pogo i know the reason JP stood down when he did and he really had no choice.

So people should think before jumping on his back if he was to come back as he was a big reason we reached the heights we did.

He left us at a crucial time and that will never be forgotten but if he comes back and keeps this club going onto better things then I for one will accept that. Without knowing the REAL reason, (unless you are going to tell us) you shouldn't expect us to understand. Without the facts we are going to come to our own conclusions. He let us down at that time and that didn't do him any favours from our point of view. In the main I think it was the TIMING of his departure more than anything else(day before a big council meeting) that he will be remembered for. It wont be forgotten but we can get on with things, as its the club that is more important than him or us. So with that in mind, I for one am accepting him back in the hope that he can redress the situation and get this club back to where it belongs.Yes he did do good prior to leaving but that was all undone by his surprise and abupt departure. He now has to make up for it unless we are told the real reason then maybe we would understand, forget and FORGIVE!

I tend to agree with ben with out jp the few years off joy we had would probaly not of happend that doesnt mean i belive he is a saint for leaveing us in the lurch as for why he stepped down it is all still a mystery to me but i suspect we will find the truth about all the going's on at the gate in the last year and a half one day.

The timing was very poor cookie thats true.

Im sure it will do no harm in saying that the reason which i was told by someone who knows/works with JP, was at the time Margate fc were in serious financial trouble running insolvent.

You cannot be a director of two companys if one is running insolvent so he had no choice but to protect his interest in Gomez.

If he is coming back i've no idea but i for one would welcome him back.

I guess people would have to make up thier own minds.

Fair enough, but I just hope people (fans, helpers and people outside the club) are treated with a bit more courtesy/respect by JP and SP this time. Their behaviour often left a bad taste in the mouth.

My hope is that when we start to move ahead with the project we can stop looking backwards and everyone , no matter who, who supports the club in any way can move forward together.

 

Now wouldn't that make a change?
