That was a long time ago when he was only a youngster and wasn't guaranteed his place.

 

I think that Welling were in the Conference then, so it was also a step up for him.

For my sins, I've seen Welling a couple of times over the past few years and Lew has always stood out amongst the rest. He is a good acquisition for the club and, with luck will do well for us.

 

I actually seem to remember that we were after him last year, (or was it the year before?) but he stayed loyal to Welling which appears to show he is commited to the team he is under contract to. Good luck to him.

We were certainly interested when they were relegated, but you are right, he decided to stick with Welling to try to get them straight back up.

What does every1 think about Andy signing Lew Watts from Welling UTD? I'm not too sure about it myself, but if it's good for the club then I'm Happy!!!!!!!

If he's glad to be back in our squad then that's great. But, one question, why did Lew leave us in the first place?
