Team for Saturday

Recommended Posts

Ok, lets forget about lasts nights little disapointment and look forward to Saturday.

Anybody got any opinions on what the starting line will/should be this weekend?

Mine would be:

1.Bayes

2.Gooding

3.Searle

4.West

5.McCarthy

6.Weatherstone

7.Elam

8.Caskey

9.Jackson

10.Purser

11.Martin

Subs: Baruwa,Stuart,Clarke,Sigere,Shipp

You will notice that I have left out Stuart in favour of Searle. I feel Searle has more to offer at left back myself.

Jamie Stuart to be fair has been absoluley superb at Centre back and I would be happy for any 2 of the 3 centre backs we have to start on Saturday.

I would play 3-5-2

Back five Gooding,Macca,Westy,Stuart,Searle

Midfield 3 of Weatherstone,Caskey,Martin

Front 2 of Purser and Jackson.

Elam needs to be dropped he is not doing it at the moment. Look at the clip of the Welling goal we conceded he is walking whilst they are playing round him yet again.

Sorry Treeboy, maybe I am being a bit harsh, just want what is best for the club and desperately want us to win and give 100%, I think you will find yesterday that I also pointed out Lee's strong points and that he has also got the goal of the season so far, but I am sure I have people on this forum who agree in the last 5games he just has not helped the team much, maybe it is just his body language or his way but he never looks like he cares. The game is about opinions and everybody is entitled to have one. Just as you are. Be honest and tell me how you think he has done in the last 5 games??

He has been slightly off the boil Voiceofvendetta but I thought you were all for getting behind our boys and letting them know they have our support 100%?

Does this philosophy of yours not stretch to Lee Elam? If not why not?

I am aware of your choice of goal of the season so far, but do you not feel a little contradictory sometimes?

Why don't you get behind the boys, gee them up, and see where that takes us?

It's gotta be better than stabbing them in the back has it not?

VOR - ffs, as i said before, *get over yourself!* and stop sulking.

You are welcome to put your opinion forward, positive or negative, after all, thats what the forum is for.

People are entitled to have their views on your opinions too. Such as the inconsistency of your recent postings to when you first posted on here calling for people to stop getting on garry hill's back and get behind the team, compared to the drop elam campaign you currently seem to be the chairman of.

It also may be so that people might not be so vociferous in their objections to your opinions if said opinions were not put in such an aloof manner?

but, thats just my opinion. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

I think we need some big, tall players in defence as they have some good headers of the ball (Chris Moore for one!). I'd play ....4-4-2

1.Bayes

2.Gooding

3.Stuart

4.West

5.McCarthy

6.Weatherstone

7.Wormull

8.Caskey

9.Jackson

10.Purser

11.Martin

or possibly as VOR said a 5-3-2 with wing backs.

NTRSW.... who played very well on Saturday, well enough to start on Tuesday, and then not very good on Tuesday..shame really i thought he'd turned a corner and was expecting some good from him. Perhaps it was a bad day from him.....and the rest of the team.
