Appreciate your point VOR but as the team has momentum, my view, and only my view, is that we should keep that going and try and extend that lead.

If you interrupt that run by making changes, injuries excepted, you might be cutting your own throat.

I too, would be interested in other views, it's all about opinions after all.

Spot on NTRSW, the league is the priority. We MUST field our strongest team tonight, 3 points are our only concern. You have to respect your opponents, they maybe bottom of the league but we will still need to work hard to beat them. Yes, if we do get into a decent lead then make changes, but not before then.

Yes respect your opponents, but fellas respect our squad and that team I have named should be good enough to beat anybody in this league as well, so I would go with that and give the other boys a night off, if it was to fall flat I would hold my hands up but I think that side would win the game.

Mr Wenger would not go to Crystal Palace and play his first choice team with a game in the Champions League 4 days later. Trust me.

VOR, I'm gonna let you know a little secret here.... we are not going to win the FA Cup, but we have a magnificent chance of winning this league and maybe even the carthium.
Would you rather blow all of that chasing an unrealistic dream?

I wholeheartedly applaud this view chaps. Concentrate on the league, and we promise to roll over in the Carthorse Cup thingy if we meet you, as long as you'd kindly step aside on Saturday...? <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />

I'm quite good friends with a Newport fan and I was talking to him on MSN yesterday about tonights Welling match (Newport have Grays tomorrow for those who don't know). He said once Welling start losing they do the token hack they're legs game. So we are best off resting players to avoid injury, thats the last thing we want; Purser out for the big game on sat or any games past that in fact....

Good constructive points lads, great stuff

I would still play the strongest team available but there are many pointers here especially the one about the squad.

My principal is always that if you get a run going in the league then capitalise on that.

But I'm not the Manager and I'm sure the right decision will be made.

that's if the team can still walk after welling play like manunited on sunday.

you can walk if you like, i'm getting on the coach.

realistically, we should wrap this one up in the first half, then take the top players off to rest anyway, regardless of whoever the no-marks we are playing on saturday are.

I think this serves as a good warning as does 2 of the other last 4 league games.

We mustn't take things for granted.

1 win in 4 isn't a good return really. We built up great momentum, played some great stuff and got where we wanted to be and then have allowed Grays to sneak up on us.

Could be a blessing in disguise.
