Travelling Iron players un used. Rutherford & McGowan.

ATT: 126

(Of which approx 30 were Braintree and 9 from Iron on Tour.)

Stats.

33 Mins - Revell 1.0 for the Iron shot from outside the box. Very good goal.

65 Mins - Windsor & Eton equalizer.

80 Mins - Riddle free kick outside the box, hit with power, Stunning goal. 2.1 to the Iron.

The game was played in very wintery conditions the rain did not stop, players who shone (in my opinion) were Andy Porter who like the game against Margate was superb plus Steve Good. If we lost possesion Goodie was always fighting to win it back.

Both our goals were long range efforts, they were quality goals.

Before the game, we arrived (Iron on Tour) at 2pm the roads were terrible, we had to divert off the M11 and onto the A414 via Harlow, Hertford, St.Albans then back to the M25. The Club coach were about 15 mins behind us, when we arrived at Windsor, there were no paint markings on the pitch, so one of there lads had to quickly go and get some. After all the panic the game kicked off at 3pm.

God did it rain.

New Song from the Qwag end boys.

(To the tune of Singing in the Rain)

We're Iron in the rain.

We're Iron in the rain.

what a glourious feeling.

we're Winning again.

(Sang to the tune of a christmas Carol - Born is the Saviour, I think)

Borgie, Borgie, Borgie, Borgie

Born is the king of

Clockhouse Way.

I'll talk about it...

...It Poored down the whole match. Your boys made enough noise but not as much as Borgie!!!

Got to give it to our barmy army lads though. They still stood behind the goal no matter the weather!!!!

Bit disappointed but there is still along way to go before people start writing us off. All the goals were great in there own way.

The first was a proper strikers goal that nearly broke the net. Our equalizer was well worked 1-2 with it then being slotted by the keeper and third was a well taken free kick.

Thought the players who played the best for us were Peter Holsgrove & Guy Ekwalla

Thanks Humpty.

The first half, for about 30 mins, the Qwag end lads stood out with me, I then stood on my tod till half time and then was joined by Martin, 2nd half, I would of stood out in the rain, but making a noise on me tod would have been not as effective, so I joined the other boys on the side we were attacking, put the flags there.

Enjoyed that day.

No offence taken.

I also don't mind giving credit where credits due.

I usually do the diary which is on a link on our website but I am 4 games behind at the moment due to other commitments.

Ah well, eventually <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />
