Booze at Bognor

Yet again I've found a club that let's you drink from plastic glasses while watching the game. I spoke to the guy behind the bar and he was happy for me to take my Breezer out with me. I told him that this was not possible at City possibly due to some FA Rule (it's never been made clear why).

He said: "that's b******s!" Their manager (I think) is some kind of official or committee member at the FA and not heard anything of it.

Strange that. Can anyone explain the reasoning behind the alcohol ban at the Park?

Our ground seemed to change partway through a season which suggests it was just a random decision designed to annoy the paying customers rather than add any value.

At Sutton, the no drinks rule applied but the stewards were happy to ignore cans and plastic bottles until one of our "supporters" complained.

I trust I'm not classed as one of the [color:"blue"] "know-it-all's", [color:"red"] BUT.... [color:"black"]

I think it's all to do with each County's F.A. rules.

I know Surrey F.A. officials had a big purge a couple of seasons ago, visiting grounds and issuing warnings with threats of fines !

Check your County F.A. Rule Book.

By the looks of the crowds shots of Lewes v Hornchurch that's another ground you can take beer on the terraces.

At a rock/pop concert you can take beer into the seating or standing area during the gig in plastic glasses so why can't you do this at a footie match?
