Smug, Arrogant Arsenal

Recommended Posts

Well, what a fantastic result yesterday. Armchair dwelling plastic Goons all over the country, most of whom have never even been near Highbury, have been bleating on about this unbeaten run for months now.

And yet still Comfirmed-Bachelor Campbell and Arsene 'packet of sweets and a cheeky smile' Wenger find something to have a moan about. Quelle surprise!!

"Well, your 18-match unbeaten run had to come to an end at some point," I remarked to my Gooner-loving boss this morning. I don't know the exact figure, but I'm guessing it's roughly 18 matches since their FA Cup Semi-Final defeat against Man Utd last season.

"What are you talking about, YB941 5thD EFM ~soul~?", came the shocked reply from my boss. "49 matches unbeaten."

I had to point out that they lost in all three cup competitions last season - Champions League, FA Cup and Worthington Cup.

"The Worthless Cup??" questioned the indignant manager? "That hardly counts."

You can see what I'm up against here, folks.

"It's not even a first-team competition," he went on.

Well...

 • 1. It's down to the FA to decide what is, and what isn't, a first-team competition, not Arsenal Football Club. Just because you decide to play a few reserve-team players, with the laughable view that if you rest Pires, Henry, Vieira and co. you may stand a better chance of winning the European Cup, a competition in which you've never even reached the last four, that does not make England's second-biggest domestic cup competition a "reserve-team competition".
 • 2. There are 92 teams each season who enter the League Cup. Of those, between 89 and 90 genuinely want to win the competition and will select their best eleven players in an attempt to achieve this. To do otherwise is arrogance of the highest order.

So we go back to the statistic that Arsenal remained unbeaten in the Premiership during the 2003/04 season.

At which point I explained that a team could finish the league season unbeaten, drawn all their games, finished on 38 points and be relegated. Where's the achievement in that? A little on the far-fetched side maybe, but you get my drift.

And then I am told that Man Utd still need to win three games where Arsenal lose three, to re-capture those eight points they're behind. And that there's no way Arsenal will lose three more games this season.

Well, quite apart from the fact that the old Arsenal arrogance is rearing its ugly head again, that is total [****!!****].

Man Utd simply need to win four games that Arsenal draw to make up those eight points. This is also something that football pundits and commentators seem to forget, when jerking themselves off over a Thierry Henry video.

Of course Chelsea (and Everton, but not really) are still in the hunt also, and with a bit of luck, much as I've always disliked Chelsea, those smug arrogant gypsies from South of the Thames will be knocked off their precarious perch by next weekend!!

So reasonable wenger must be remembered is the manager with most red cards per game than any other prem-manager

How lovely after all that cheating and thuggery by the goons Man-U cheated and kicked seven bells out of the pikeys from woolwich

Henry is proving to be as resilient in the big games as he is playing for France

And finally the cheating money grabbing un-married traitor cambell is mugged, how sad, just one more story he can tell his children if he ever gets round to the responsibility of being a father

PS did you not feel so sorry for Mr Cole being damaged in a violent tackle by the player who Mr Cole did his best (along with half the gooners team ) to humiliate last season

Must agree with MOST of your comments, YB941 5thD EFM ! (I'm still watching Everton with great interest !)

Apparently, according to Arsenhole Wenger, it was Mike Riley's fault that they lost yesterday. (YEAH RIGHT ! If in doubt, consult Sir Alexandria Funguson's Rule Book, and blame the ref !)

I would have considered a straight red card for that challenge. (Watch it again in slo-mo !)

Completely agree pabird.

I've just got out of the car and, listening to the radio, there are still people going on about Rooney, Van Nistelrooy, dirty Man U etc etc......well guys think on .......

Ashley Cole .... is this the same player who was sent off on more than one ocassion for his foul play / attitude and is this the same player who has dived / play acted to get more than one opponent sent off. In my opinion he started a lot of the agrevation on Sunday with his tackle from behind (which was intended) on Ronaldo after only about 5 minutes. If the referee had booked him perhaps that would have set the tone for the game, but no, he was not punished (perhaps Arsene promised to chastise him at half time) and things then got a little out of control. If you dish it out expect it back and dont moan.

Viera ... nuff said, his record speaks for itself.

Denis Bergkamp ... is this the same player who escaped an FA ban for stamping on a player, not in a tackle but an opponent who was on the ground. "Sorry guys I was just trying to clean my boot before playing me old mate Tierry in ..."

Robert Pires ... this wouldnt be the same player who tried out for the French olympic diving team against Portsmouth last year would it ? Was that game not affected by his actions and even more importantly I would imagine its a game they are counting in this proud unbeaten record.....f**cking cheats, lets nulify the record based on video evidence.

Edu ... did I not see him tread on Heinze's head on Sunday ?

This list is endless ..........

Last but not least ....Wenger .... the only man I know who has selective blindness. Has overseen one of the worst discilpinary records in recent history and has not seen one incident concerning his own players and now all of a sudden he can see things that occur over 50 meteres away. Much be a French desease.

For F**ks sake accept you got beat, take some of your own medicine and grow up

It appears Van Nistelrooy is to be charged by the FA for serious foul play for his tackle on Cole. Can a ban be expected ?

Arsene Wenger has been asked to explain his post match comments re. the referee

A slapped wrist expected ?

Is this instant decision making a result of the massive media over hyping of such situations or maybe as a result of the influence Arsenal hold at the FA ?

Funniest moment was sitting in the pub with a load of birds behind shouting to us all "bet you've never been to Old Trafford" - Classic!

Read something interesting about AC Milan after they went 58 unbeaten, after losing that 59th game they seldom won again - here's hopeing!

Personally I hope Everton or Bolton do it

Can't see it happening but would be great if Everton or Bolton won the league. Unfortunately they don't have the finances or the strength in depth to sustain the challenge.

And now the follow-up story of the tunnel and the changing rooms or in the case of the gooners the dressing room

Forget this at your peril FA this is not a one off, tunnel fights, crowding and bully boy tactics of ref!s during and after the game,"dressing room" uproar etc etc is the regular performance of this thug mentality outfit from woolwich

As for wengar lets forget his ability to sound considerate and intelligent and understand that either 1)- he has no control over his bully boy gang or 2)- he actively encourages their tactics knowing that the oiley D.Dean will swing it at FA headquarters

There have been sufficient incidents for the FA to take man size action, deduct points, a minimum of 5 points with clear indicators that one more outbreak of thuggery will mean relegation

Strong chance it was a youngster who threw the food (what!ever) and still wenger states nothing happened, thats alright right then the next generation of pikey malcontents are being well trained

Any attempt to paint Rooney as a diver should be preempted by tv showing the 9.8 point dives of Cole and Pires and the various attempts by Cole at damaging opposition players with two footed lunges perhaps it never reached TV replays as the victims were to keen to get upright before being stamped on as the dutch mid-field hastened to get in on the act

Traitor cambell as I remember never castigated either of them for cheating nor any of his England team mates for the same "crimes" including Lineaker and Owen

Never have I uttered "come on United" but twice a year it is now on the agenda

The Victory Song by friends of EFM... Chas'n'Dave!!

Now the FA Cup is an occasion, next best to Christmas Day

Every team that's in the country, they get their chance to play

They all deserve a big thank you, all for taking part

And there's a team who deserve a special mention - let's all sing from the heart

We're off to Wembley 'cause we beat the Arsenal

We're off to Wembley 'cause we beat the Arsenal

In the North-London Cup they was only runners-up

Now they can't get the double up the Arsenal

Now that's enough about the Arsenal 'cause the semi-final's done

Now we're off again to Wembley to win another one

With Gazza in there dazzling it's gonna be Tottenham's day

But it was a lovely feeling how we got there when we put them Gunners away

We're off to Wembley 'cause we beat the Arsenal

We're off to Wembley 'cause we beat the Arsenal

In the North-London Cup they was only runners-up

Now they can't get the double up the Arsenal

Now we promise we won't mention the Arsenal anymore

'Cause it's Tottenham Hotspur in the final to do the business that's for sure

We're proud to be at Wembley as any team would be

And just a final word in case you missed it - here's how we got there see

We're off to Wembley 'cause we beat the Arsenal

We're off to Wembley 'cause we beat the Arsenal

In the North-London Cup they was only runners-up

Now they can't get the double up the Arsenal

Poetry.
