Fleet Players on Tour

Recommended Posts

Middlesex Wanderers lost both their games 4-1.

Che scored their only goal in the first match and earned the penalty in the second match.

Francis came on as a sub in both matches and in the second, apparantly beat four men to lay on a chance for Gary Abbott, but the old boy needed too much time.

I'm guessing that was taken from the NLP Dave? I was about to post the same thing!

It's also nice to see the NLP standing by their opinions and still denying us any credit for winning the league:

"King does not like to be criticised but the league table never lies and he cannot escape the fact that his side did not achieve their full potential this season"

"Canvey's midfield - marshalled brilliantly almost all season by the now departed Stimson - is probably the best in Non-League football."

"Man for man they are certainly the strongest side in the league"

"Bottom line - they should have won promotion"

The article then goes on to talk more about Canvey before leaving a couple of short paragraphs at the end of the article to mention the rest of the league (this being the review of the entire league season).

Nice to know where their priorities lie... <img src="http://www.longdog.org.uk/smilies4/bash.gif" alt=" - " />
