Enfield Town 2 Diss town 1

By the wonders of Jim's Stat's I can reveal this was Steve Baldwin's first goal in 5325 minutes of trying and was his 72nd appearance for the club. What an opportune time to open his account for the club.

The FA Vase final is at White Hart Lane this year.

What's the odds of a Enfield Town V Enfield fc final. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/icon29.gif" alt="" />

If that were to happen.Could the Enfield v Barnsley (at White Hart lane) attendance record be beaten.

Funnily enough Arkwright was trying to sell a copy of the Enfield vs Barnsley (white hart Lane)programme for £5 yesterday. Was it you that bought it?

Actually the crowd was over 35,000 and spurs were having the main stand rebuilt then, but still a great attmosphere -Barnsley got away with murder that night as I recall Noel Ashford thumping their woodwork and their goalie led a very charmed life. The year was Indeed 1981. An Enfield Town V Enfield clash would spark great interest in the vase as the tie of the round.

re the ref; thought he did ok

missed the sending off, so can't comment.

re parking - interesting to note that only one person complained; and he is quite new to Brimmo. The neighbours seemed fine

ETFC v EFC final - would be of interest to us; but not really out side Mddx; oops and Herts!

The faith has been restored, great team performance. Steve Baldwin my MoM.
Although i did think Super Kev stood out when he come on!!!!! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/excited.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/excited.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/excited.gif" alt="" />

an we all thought you only had eyes for Super Kev; fancy deserting him for Baldrick!!

As Super Kev only graced us with his all round skills, effort, tenacity, tough tackling, mazey runs, never say die defending, sublime ball control, & those intelligent runs into space he does for about the last 30 mins, i thought it only fair to give my MoM vote to Mr Baldwin.
Also i was told at the game last tuesday that Super Kev had a broken toe..... what a "Herculian" effort then to get off the bench, turn the <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/whistling.gif" alt="" /> game round and control the defence & midfield for us!!
The man is a God! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/whistling.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/whistling.gif" alt="" />

You don't mean the man who claimed to be the new Brimsdown Manager? <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/taz.gif" alt="" /> You must take him seriously then he won't get so upset. Will he be around for manors visit on Tuesday!

Big congratulations to ETFC for yesterdays result. I thought both teams played well in difficult wet conditions (my appreciative thanks go to all who have got the pitch into the condition it is in). The game was good to watch. Really good to see Diss Town bringing many supporters, it was a bit of a surprise to hear such a large roar when the equalising goal was scored.

I also thought the referee had a good game, he got most things right, but I can't understand how Adam got a red card when the offence only seemed to justify a yellow. Can we appeal against this decision?

I also think the amount of injury time played at the end of each half was about right. There were quite a few stoppages during the game and the ref was correct in adding time. In fact, I was expecting more injury time in the second half and was most pleased when the final whistle was blown.

I thought we played really well yesterday, best for some time. I also thought Stuart Snowden had his best game for ages. Well played the whole team and making it worthwhile to stand behind the goal in the second half. When Smith scored the winner so many umbrellas were going up and down many of us got a quick shower.

Thankyou southport towner for your message .I have to say a big well done . For a level 5 club I was very Impressed with the clubhouse and the kitchen area at the back and what excellent food those two girls do. Beer very reasonably priced, sky sports,A very jovial lot you all are there. The stadium itself I gather is still in development but is certainly adequate for a promotion or two. However a little more cover is required.outside toilets not in use a bit of a pain when you need a jimmy. And whats this I find chanting fans -at level 5 unheard of. A Tea wagon well stocked with crisps choccies ,soups and a nice young lady-not bad at all -again reasonably priced,Golden goal ,some draw off a lovely young lady ,club shop -again almost unheard of at level 5,The match was well stewarded lots about, not too sure about chummy on the P A though, St johns ambulance people -again never seen at level 5,playing surface well looked after and in that weather just as well,But what I was Impressed with most of all was the commitment of the fans standing at the uncovered end singing in the rain what a hardy lot you are. I usually seldom comment on grounds I have visited only if they are very good or very bad but Iam going to give you a groundhopper rating of 8;5 which at level 5 has never been given before.I shall pass the word to fellow G/hs and I shall return possibly next season good luck for this campaign Barry (weybridge).Oh and Big fella because you have bad mouthed groundhoppers chesunts Rating is down to 3.

carrot - hope you enjoyed your day in "sunny enfield"!

shame your coaches cut it a bit fine getting here; is there something we can do to improve the directions

great to see so many visiting supporters; normally no more than 12 visitors

good luck for the rest of the season
