Weymouth have dismissed player-manager Steve Claridge after a run of poor results in the Nationwide Conference South, report BBC Radio Solent.

The decision comes after the Terras lost to Thame United in an FA Cup third qualifying round replay on Tuesday.

 

Claridge, 38, took over at the beginning of last season but Weymouth currently lie in 13th spot.

 

The former Leicester, Portsmouth and Wolves player will now meet with the board to discuss a severance package.
