Coming to a website near you...

 

Suggest a team (not on this forum but by e-mail please) of past (and present?) greats to make up your all time XI

 

As the votes come in The site will be updated (hopefully with player picture etc.

 

4-4-2 formation.

 

To save complication please nominate 1 goalkeeper 4 defenders, 4 midfielders and two strikers

 

the best 3 runners up will be substitutes

 

 

Hopefully people on this forum can get things moving - I'll see how it goes (or doesn't) before spending too much time on it!

GK: Mark Keen (for his performance against Enfield, Boxing Day 1998)

 

RB: Dean Austin (well, I saw him for Spurs and he was good there!)

CB: Muddy (top fella, and top goal against Dagenham)

CB: Vickers

LB: Rizza

 

MID: Paul Turner (When Turns... went up... to lift the Senior Cup...)

MID: Super Len

MID: Allan Cockram (see Austin)

MID: John Pollard (underrated genius)

 

CF: Steve Clark

CF: Rob Haworth (top lad, gave us a lift home from Maidenhead and from the days when the players were good blokes)

Sorry, couldn't think of a better keeper. If Mark Keen doesn't count, then change it to Ryan Moran (vs Farnborough and Bedford)

 

 

Ooops, forgot manager. Errr... John Kendall. (EFM through and through, and a top geezer)

Yes, I am sure he will. But why does this Legends Team have to be so in-flexible.

And it speaks a lot about the lack of quality we've had in midfield over the last few seasons, if at least two people on here reckon one of our strikers is one of our best midfielders.

Ditto Mark Keen in goal.
