Braintree vs Chelsmford derby - it was expected to be a bit of a crowd

We'll have to try and top that for our derby match on Boxing Day(27th). Could we possibly draw over 1000 this season.

What sort of crowd are we expecting for the cup game? I expect 500 minimum.

Why would it be any higher than last season though? If anything, our attendances have been lower this season than last.

 

500 at least for the cup though.

I am expecting a bumper crowd for the cup tie, given that there will be very few other matches that clash. Depending on the draw the night before the crowd could swell if we are 90 minutes away from something special.

 

As for the derby, I would be surprised if there is anything to match the Braintree figures, but form plays a part so we will have to see how things go over the next two months.

got to remember we took 600ish 'away' to Windsor when we were on a tear last April, so if we're near the top six come Chrimbo, i think we'll get 800ish

According to the Chelmsford contingent, the crowd was nearer 395 than 895, but I'm sure Mr Flag can confirm the big crowd.

Yeah our chairman confirmed it to us last night. (I checked and re-checked with him)

 

You mention about it being as Essex derby and it would be expected, but if the Ryman League has used some sense they would have given us Chelmsford on one of the other Bank Holidays like New Years Day and August Bank Holiday.

 

Just imagine what it would have been.
