I Thought that was already planned when the meeting was set up! How about inviting Sandy along. That would allow us some HONEST answers to surface. Wont be one-way-traffic then andhe could either agree or deny some answered questions that are put.As it is we will get answers that suit the board. This would give us the true situation as it stands. Am not saying KP will lie but it will alleviate any answers that may be slightly off the mark.

Sandy will be dicussing the fact his Tory colleagues on KCC in Maidstone have stitched him up over the land given over at the harbour. That following his back peddling over Hartsdown Park have made him look foolish.

Here's hoping for a positive meeting tonight.

Must admit i am still fearing bad news but lets hope its all good news.

Wish i could attend but 530 miles round trip is a bit far.

Have a good meeting.

I anticipate it being dominated by ground issues, and sure there will be plenty of questions as to when commencement is etc.

If we get 'passed go',and as i say, i remain worried, but if we can go forward, could someone enquiyre as to who is exactly on a contract of any sort these days.

i.e.who is in the squad these days.

In particular , iam interested in status Darren Watson-on contract/ non contract/ loan/trial ?and is he fit -if not will he be fit.

I would be very grateful if someone could ask the above.

Again, i am hoping it gets that far, since i remain nervous of bad news, but maybe i am just a pessimist.

Now forgive me if i have missed a few posts/answers on this, but whilst general reports from thursdays meeting were rather negative, i am not aware that anywhere that specifics have been identified.

Think post meeting comments were that letter received was not as required/anticipated-why?

In what what way did it vary from what was reqd.?

Talk of maybe club having access to ground only on match days-is that so bad -at least to start with-persumably that is associated with substantially cheaper rent. Can this not be worked around with MFC being given an option to pay more rent and have greater access if certain financial conditions are met-i.e when cash flow from more crowds at HDP improves.

There are always ways to get things done.Keep talking/probing and it can be resolved i am sure.

No reference to web site-do i assume it is down because of funding or is it genuinely a technical issue.

It may be that someone who went can be more specific, since we seem to be crying over generalities-what are the specifics.

If matters cannot be put in public domain and someone wanted to send a private message again appreciated.

thanks in anticipation

Michael, the meeting content centred around this returned letter of confirmation from the agreements made from the friday meeting i.e. 10 yr lease. The contents of that letter were that they had been changed TWICE?.

Those changes are not acceptable by the club, apparently. KP would NOT enter into discussion on the actual changes made, so exactly what they are are a complete mystery to us all.

There MUST be a way surely to continue this fight for progress, <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/boxing.gif" alt="" /> somewhere!

Regardless of hindsight, Jim Parmenter made a fundamental error of judgement in allowing ground to be demolished without the 'new deal 'being sorted.

That was a major error, but does not suddenly make him a bad man or chairman, and we must remember everything else that he did to progress the club under his leadership.

I think he also deserves respect for being silent with dignity on all matters since his resignation.

I would welcome him back.

he does have strong leadership qualities which are lacking currently, and a vision together with the off pitch skills for the gate to progress.

Sometimes you need to take a step backwards to achieve your ambitions.
