Another Brit kidnapped in Iraq

Recommended Posts

Bring back Mrs T !

Then, we start flattening towns over there until our man is handed back. Then we flatten a couple more just to show we mean business.

There is only one way these people are going to learn not to mess with England.

Well Zealster. Back to Iraq, eh?

As I recall, you were first in line in support of the bombing of the buzzards 18 months ago along with that lunatic Littlejohn. It didn't work that time so why should it be effective now?

Any sign of the Weapons of Mass disraction, CZ? 45 minutes to deploy the things, as I remember. Links with Al Q'Aeda? No? Still. At least they have democracy. After a fashion.

So that's all right then.

You must have. It was around December last year, AFF. I know that because it was the morning after Mrs Zeal's Christmas Party in Oxford. A Sunday morning.

"We got him", came the famous words from the American Military bloke on TV, followed by pictures of the ex-Iraqi leader being pulled out of his ditch and having his beard shaved off. A proud moment for the free world.

Did anyone see the news item the other day/week where they found thousands of bodies including those of children. I think that is why we went to Iraq: to stop the murdering. Now we just need to put a stop to the last few terrorists and the way to do that is with extreme force.

All we need to do is pick on one town where we suspect these people live and give them an hour to give themselves up! If they don't then we flatten the place and move on to the next town.

Hi Zeal. I've just seen your response regarding the capture of The Bearded One.

I must have been mistaken, Zeal. I somehow got it into my head that it was all about Weapons of Mass Distraction, the smashing of Iraqs links with international terrorism in general and Al Q'Aeda in particular. Displacing Saddam was a side issue.

Now where on earth did I hear about WMD and all that stuff? Wait a mo. It'll come back to me. Oh yes. I remember now. The two lunatics and those that blindly supported them.

How much easier life would be with a selective memory, CZ.

Just answer this one Zealster. I will assume that you remain of the view that there was nothing 'wrong' with the invasion of Iraq. Tone truly believed. The intelligence was at fault, not the Great Leader. No question of the British Prime Minister misleading Parliament and the British people. I'll take that as a gimme in your case.

Let's accept, just for a nano-second and for the purpose of this discussion that Our Leader was well intentioned.

Does it ever occur to you that anyone who leads the country into war with no inkling at all of the consequences and no contingency plan whatsoever to deal with the chaos that he has created is, put kindly, somewhat incompetent?

im torn on this issue.. on the one hand i believe we should spend billions on out superb military machine then use it to get the world to do whatever we want.. there can be no doubt that with the right funding we could batter anyone.. on the other hand tho blair is a c..t so i want him out first before we trash the planet under the glorious tories

Here we go again, now we've very kindly invaded a country to displace a dictator that probably wasn't even in the Top 5 worst dictators in the world (funny that, I would of started at the worst to get the message to the others) I guess we'll be off to liberate most of Asia, Africa and the Middle East.

Aren't we great, Tony is a hero!

I'd be worried though if I was a Tory and still we were very unlikley to win the next election.

Ho Hum!

Who said I was voting for Labour, it says a lot about the state of the conservetive party that I don't even consider them a viable option. And despite what you think I'm not one of these one party people vote for them whatever, simple fact if I believed in the tories I'd vote for them and if one day in the future I thought they were the party most suited to me my X would be there despite my ramblings on here!
