What technical problems? We are waiting for confirmation from the council and this happens. Hope this is just a co-incidence.

I was referring to the last time the website went down (last Christmas) when SP insisted it was just due to technical problems and not his papa sodding off.

Gotcha! So, anyone out there that is computer literate. Can you explain the ERROR 400 Bad request. What does this mean in particular?

There is currently a technical problem with our webserver. I am working to fix it asap.

 

Here is some info about error 400: (from http://www.checkupdown.com/status/E400.html)

 

"400 errors in the HTTP cycle

Any client (e.g. your Web browser or our CheckUpDown robot) goes through the following cycle:

 

Obtain an IP address from the IP name of your site (your site URL without the leading 'http://'). This lookup (conversion of IP name to IP address) is provided by domain name servers (DNSs).

Open an IP socket connection to that IP address.

Write an HTTP data stream through that socket.

Receive an HTTP data stream back from your Web server in response. This data stream contains status codes whose values are determined by the HTTP protocol. Parse this data stream for status codes and other useful information.

This error occurs in the final step above when the client receives an HTTP status code it recognises as '400'.

There is a low-level program bug in the client or the Web server or both."

As the webmaster has said the site is currently down due to a fault. Will have it back on as soon as possible, in the meantime if there is anything to report we will post it on here.

Any idea when it will be back on? We are awiting the confirmation from the council. Has this been forwarded? Funny how the site goes down at crucial times isn't it? Did'nt this happen previously in a similar situation? Big coincidence dont you think? I suppose the thing will re-appear almost immediately after the meeting on thursday eh?

I found that if you click "back" you get to the web-site's home page. Worth a go!

Still not got the website going then? What exactly is the problem,if there really is one. Have we been shut down or have you, the club closed it permanently or even temporarily, and if so for what reason. Its been a couple of days now so am just inquisitive about this thats all.
