And Yeading play...

Recommended Posts

Would probably have considered it, were it not for Fulham.

EFM members are very thin on the ground these days though, I'm afraid. The goings-on at the club seem to have driven all but 2 or 3 members away, much to the delight, no doubt, of John Gib$on.

Indeed, I myself will not be going to another St Albans game until 29th January, and may even miss that if Spurs get a decent draw in the 4th Round of the Cup, should we get there.

Nope. The heart and soul has been ripped out of St Albans City FC, Mark. For good, I fear.

That is a shame, it seems to happen all over the place, I have top respect for you EFM boys.

First it was Canveys website and the main posters, now you EFM boys, I have read about Bedfords lads on their forum getting stick from the club.

Some people seem to shy away from the Qwag end boys too, they wont travel with us because we are a bunch of drinkers. Can't they understand its lads like the EFM, Bedford & Canvey Forum lads and the Qwag end lads that are the heart of the club. Our old guys whinged about the times we were leaving to go to away games.

Our Chairman is a lads lad, he comes and stands behind the goal with the boys, instead of sitting with the Directors, can see why you guys from EFM got on with him. Plus he buys a few drinks.

Yeah, he is, from the Qwag end lads Steve is now Transport Manager, Mark S jointly runs the U18's team with the Club Shop Manager and I am helping Tom W with being Assistant Sec. John runs the club raffle and Mand washes the U18 kit.

He looks after the Qwag end boys. / Supporters Club.

Now just need to convince the old aged Supporters that the Supporters Club are not the enemy

yeah, I still reckon that whole Braintree day out was the best piss up of the year so far.

I know the Great Leader has happy memories of it.

It was our best home game, of last season, seeing your old dears and our old dears, watching EFM and the Qwag end boys, lording it up.

Top day.

Out drank me, but I will ask the other boys, they don't have time to come on these forums.

Your Sheff Utd fan reckoned he could take on our Wednesday boy, then spent the 2nd half throwing up. Didn't he?

I will ask the boys tomorrow. You left early about 6pm though, thought you were there for a late one.

To be fair, the Sheff Utd fan isn't an EFM member - he's in another group of supporters called 'The Yorkshire Branch'.

Without doubt, the EFM boys out-drank you lot, so much so that Mark Sansom took the time to email me the following Monday to tell me he's never seen any drinking quite so impressive in his life.
