Look who we have in the Cup........

Won't be easy, but

a) we avoided all Conference and Nationwide South teams

B) we're at home

c) we know they're beatable, having won 1-0 earlier in the season. Plus they've lost twice at Stag Meadow already this season.

I just hope for a repeat of this result in a few weeks !

It is a good tie. That is not to underestimate Salisbury as they have become quite handy in the cups (getting to the 1st round last season where they played Sheffield Wednesday, how we'd like that!) but it is a home fixture against a team from the same level. As such I'd say it is a good draw as we've a decent chance of progressing to the first round, picking up some more prize money and then getting a plum tie in the first round.

Could have been much worse.

Salisbury are currently the 16th of the 16 teams vying for 3rd place in the table at present, but they're only 6 pts behind Slough (8th)...

As long as our players perform as we know they can, we should be OK...

...but Salisbury won't go down without a fight.

Come on the slough bring it on.Our boys are going to do this. The team is full of confidence, we are on a good little run at the moment.

With salisbury saying they will bring 300 i reckon we will get 100 maybe 200 more than what we usally get and make it a real proper cup tie.

Plenty of singing and getting right behind the lads will make it a right good old atmosphere.

A good draw but you have to suspect that both sets of fans and players will see this as a good opportunity to make the first round proper. At least we are at home which is a big boost. If they genuinely bring 200 this time we will have to make sure we are out in force and ready to get vocal.

Come on Rebels.

Well one Salisbury fan had this to say, which made me giggle:

"yes we will bring 300 and beware. well make lots of noise. to be honest i am quite happy about going away we make a lot more noise and give off lots of positive vibes. the good thing about a side like slough is we can go away and out number the home support. just cuz we aint the underdogs this time lets give out the same support and let gary conduct us again. lets make it 3rd time lucky and lets all remeber. were all going to grimsby "

Got to be happy with the draw really...

Home...same league who's underdogs...no one...only 6pts between us...

should be an even contest... but we must not under estimate them either...

Should be a good crowd too... if they travel as they say they do.... 300 plus our 400 should be quite good too...

up the rebels...

someone order the de fribulator for me...

cheers chris s....

Was on holiday last time, so don't know how many we'll bring. Think a realistic figure for this one will be a couple of hundred on the saturday, not so many if not on the saturday.

Thing is that will be people of all ages, not all in colours, so you'll probably say we've got a lot less than we say anyway. Think our boy's getting a bit carried away that we'll outnumber you but he's only a young lad I think!

I seem to be the only one who thinks it's a really bad draw for us. Oh well, we shall see.

I can see your point to be honest Dave. To go out in the 4th qualifying round to a team from your own level has got to be more frustrating than being knocked out by a team like Barnet or Aldershot. Whoever loses this match will be missing out on a lot. When we were beaten by Harrogate Railway in the first round two years ago everybody was gutted, but it was so much worse when they got a plum tie with Bristol City and shown live on Sky.

Now be nice and beat Hampton tomorrow night
