It's hard to explain how i felt about today's game. I didn't think we played very well. We played some cracking football at times, but there was something missing for me. Strange i know as we banged in 9 goals. Don't get me wrong i'm not complaining. You couldn't ask for anymore.

yeah...I thought that was great when we started cheering them on....loudest roar of the afternoon was when they did put the ball in the net at 8-0 only for the lino to rule it offside and cop for a load of abuse orf our lot.....quality...

It shows how fortunes change though.......I just found my matchday programmes from the games versus Dulwich Hamlet in the 1977/78 season (Home and Away! - Loyal supporter or just a saddo?!). But guess who's top of the table and thumping us at The Bridge by 4 goals to nil!???

Yes it is DH and they wore Pink and Blue in them days (will they never learn?). The 'chins by the way were struggling that season 4th from bottom!

Dulwich : They played in Pink, when we last played them about 3 to 4 years ago, in our F.A.Trophy run to the 5th Round. (Year we came 4th in the Premier) What do they play in now?

 

Iron v Urchins, if Georgie weren't here, I would not fancy coming up against you or Canvey, but the thing about X players being up for a game v there old team would be in our favour, what with McGowan, Gay, Adedeji, Maynard, Martin, Abbott and Borg. It's a bit wierd for me too and probably for alot of the Braintree fans who were at the game at your place last season. When tempers ran high.

 

With Borgie winding up BQ, and now half a season later, Borgie is at our place with half your old team with him. When he arrives he names BQ as captain. (until the last couple of games, Capt now Adedeji)

 

As Greavsie would say it's a funny old game.

To be honest Mark I wouldn't fancy playing you at your place. Looking at the teams left there is no easy games. All you can hope for is a home game against the weakest side left in the competition.
