All I will say is that at the mo the Abbey are in the driving seat.

If my calcs are correct, the gap is now 8 pts which is a three game gap. Even if your games in hand are won, it is still four points ... should make for a couple of interesting games!

not all of us comp but a few of us mate. my brother scored a ping yesterday! thought i would say that before he did!

 

we are doing ok at the mo and we will just see what happens. we aint no world beaters but we are slowly becoming a decent side. if we can hold onto this squad then i believe within 3 years we will become a very good side. the only thing is the demon of £££ at the moment not one player (me excepted) is paid and that is how it is.

 

back to the vase next week and a massive game at edgeware, that will be tough!

 

another point is that basildon are actually a good side, although we beat them 3-0 the scoreline does not show that they are better than that suggests.

Edgware were "physical" when we went there last season in the cup.

 

As for keeping the team together; hope you do; if ETFC are not going to win the ESL then I hope it is you guys, still rather see you come second, but as i said somewhere else; it is Abbey's title to lose.

cheers chop, yeah we are scoring a few at the moment. not sure why to be honest as we do not have a single new player! in fact we are missing a few through long term injury, maybe they were all crabs and never went forward!

 

i think you lot are reading to much into your last result. you have only drawn one game more than us. yes you have to win your games in hand but its far from over.

 

it is a big game for us on sat, we beat them in a cup game earlier in the season 1-0 but they were a good side. you lot have a tough one as well. is it sat or sun?

Sadly that's gone on for years at the Abbey, could never understand why though.
It's the same at Brimmo with some of the locals trying to smash holes in the fencing.
